With Marvel’s What If…? now off the table, Disney+ is now gearing up for a new animated show centered on Peter Parker called Your Friendly Neighborhood Spider-Man.
The series is expected to take place in its own original timeline, which means original takes on characters; and though the trailer has been sparing, some promo art has revealed the likes of Doctor Octopus, Doctor Strange, Scorpion, and more. Check this out:

While the classic characters in the lineup are pretty obvious based on their design, some fans are still unsure of who the others in the photo are. Some say the blonde guy in shades is supposed to be Daredevil Matt Murdock, but he could very well be someone else. The guy with the fire gauntlets could be Pyro from X-Men, but since this is a Spidey property, I’m guessing he’s a pre-shock gauntlets Shocker.
As for the two women in the front, some are speculating that one of them is influencer Screwball, but I’m guessing the buff blonde girl is a new take on Rhino, and maybe the girl with the Baraka arms is either Tinkerer or this universe’s version of Wraith.
Admittedly, a lot of people have already been bashing the series based on the quality, but I love how they’re embracing the classic comic aesthetic. I’m still not the biggest fan of CG animation, but I think it already looks better than What If.
Then again, that’s just one guy’s opinion.
