The Wonder Woman sequel is probably the most anticipated DCEU movie coming out next year, and we’ve just got a very significant update courtesy of director Patty Jenkins and star Gal Gadot.
As per Jenkins, the official title of the film will be Wonder Woman 1984. The director has also given us a first look at Chris Pine on set as Steve Trevor:

We also have this new image of Gadot in the film as Diana. She’s standing in front of a bunch of screens a la Ozymandias from Watchmen.

Some might be wondering why Jenkins would be so quick to reveal that Steve Trevor is back in the movie. The decision was probably made because people were going to spot Pine when they shot on location. It’s much better that we get our first look at Trevor via the official source as compared to some sneaky pictures taken by paparazzi.
This was exactly what happened with Shazam!. We still don’t have an official released image of Zachary Levi in costume, but we’ve had several looks at it via photos from the set.
With Wonder Woman being a basic origin story, I’m hoping that Jenkins ups the ante when it comes to this sequel.
Personally, I would have preferred that we follow Diana’s journey after Justice League. But hey, if the story works for this film, I’m going to be onboard.
Wonder Woman 1984 comes out Nov. 1, 2019.
