It looks like Wes Anderson is continuing to refine his style with each of his new films since The Grand Budapest Hotel. His next movie, The Phoenician Scheme is set to come out this May, and we have a new star-studded trailer featuring mostly the new roster of Anderson regulars.

No synopsis has been revealed for the movie yet, but based on how Anderson has been telling stories, we should expect another kooky-looking period theatre movie.
Based on the cast, a lot of actors had worked with Anderson before with Tom Hanks, Scarlett Johansson, and Bryan Cranston appearing in Asteroid City and Jeffrey Wright and Benicio del Toro appearing in The French Dispatch. Benedict Cumberbatch and Rupert Friend also appeared in Anderson’s Netflix specials The Wonderful Story of Henry Sugar and Three More based on the stories of author Roald Dahl.
Though cinephiles either love or hate Anderson, he is no doubt a modern cinematic auteur, and all of his films always feel unique, visually and narratively. Asteroid City wasn’t a lot of people’s favourite when it came out, but I think there’s a lot to love from the movie, and I just hope Margot Robbie can have a more major role in an Anderson movie in the future.
Catch The Phoenician Scheme when it comes to cinemas on May 30.
