2023 is surely closing out with some great entries for cinephiles with films like Poor Things, Killers of the Flower Moon, and Priscilla. One other A24 film that has been receiving buzz is the biopic The Iron Claw starring Zac Efron and Jeremy Allen White, and we have a new clip from the movie that is ‘undeniably Texan.’

Just in case you haven’t done your research, The Iron Claw is actually a tragic true story about the Von Erich brothers, pro-wrestlers from back in the 80s who were also notorious for being a close family—with even their father having wrestled professionally.
So far, the A24 movie has been getting an incredible reception, and a lot of praise has been going around for the main cast—specifically Zac Efron who seems to have completely transformed himself in the movie. Though he does play a wrestler in The Iron Claw, a lot of his old school fans were kind of happy to see him dancing in the previous clip with ease—no doubt a leftover reflex from his High School Musical days.
For now, fans are hoping that The Iron Claw nabs all kinds of nominations, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
The official description reads:
The true story of the inseparable Von Erich brothers, who made history in the intensely competitive world of professional wrestling in the early 1980s.
The Iron Claw is now screening in theaters.
