The Falcon and The Winter Soldier was the only Marvel Disney+ series set to come out in 2020, but it looks like we’re going to be getting two MCU shows this time around.
As per the Disney+ New Year announcement, WandaVision, which was originally set to come out in the spring of 2021, is now going to come out in 2020. Here’s the post:
Is this not what 2020 vision means? From #ToyStory 4 and Aladdin to #LizzieMcGuire and WandaVision, here’s a look into our future at the blockbusters and Originals coming to #DisneyPlus this year. pic.twitter.com/QHGMHat89n

We don’t know that much about WandaVision officially, but from what we can piece together, it’s kind of an surreal reality where Wanda Maximoff has used her powers to bring Vision back to life in some kind of sitcom world.
Besides Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprising their roles, we also have Kat Dennings reprising her role as Darcy as well as Randall Park playing FBI agent Jimmy Woo. One new face will be Teyonah Parris who plays an adult Monica Rambeau. Though Rambeau is her own hero in the comics, it looks like she’ll be a SHIELD agent for this series.
While I expect The Falcon and The Winter Soldier to play out like an espionage-action movie, I’m really excited to see what WandaVision has to bring to the table. Scarlet Witch has a very interesting skillset in the comics, and I felt that they kind of demoted her to just moving things with her mind. Hopefully with this show we can see just how powerful she really is.
This is also just a side note, but I kind of missed Darcy in the MCU. She’s definitely one of the highlights of the Thor franchise.
No specific release date has been announced, but WandaVision is set to come out on Disney+ sometime later this year.
