While WandaVision was originally intended to come out in the spring of 2021, Marvel had pushed the release to 2020, with the expectation that the series would premiere in the winter. Now it looks like Disney has decided to backtrack on that decision, as WandaVision’s release date has been revealed to early next year.
In a new promo from Marvel Studios, it’s revealed that WandaVision is now going to hit Disney+ on January 15, 2021. Check out the promo:

We don’t know why Disney would decide to pull WandaVision from its winter release, but it’s possible that it could have something to do with The Mandalorian currently on its second season. With the streaming service not really chock-full of new content, it would make sense that they would ration the content to make sure each title has its moment in the spotlight. Then again, that’s just my guess.
With WandaVision skipping out of 2020, this would be the first time since 2009 that we went through a year without any Marvel content. While this should be perfectly understandable what with the pandemic still going around, a lot of fans are dismayed that we would have to go so long without any new Marvel Studios material. Then again, it could be the chance for some people to try and find something else to obsess over.
Hopefully it will keep people excited about the MCU till Black Widow hits theaters in May 2021.
In the meantime, we wait for WandaVision to hit Disney+ on Jan. 15, 2021.
