Marvel and NetEase may have just revealed their Overwatch clone with Marvel Rivals, but that isn’t stopping Blizzard from making their own big reveal for OW2 as well.
There have been rumblings about an upcoming character who can dig through maps before, but now we have our official look at Venture. Check them out:
You can’t spell Adventure without Venture!
Our newest Damage Hero is here and they’re ready to break new ground! Equipped with a Smart Excavator and a spunky personality, this spirited archeologist is ready to send shockwaves through the enemy team and emerge victorious.
Like Sojourn, Venture is said to come from Canada and will be the 40th hero added to the game. It’s also said that they could be Egyptian, which kind of makes sense because Overwatch used to have a map where players would fight among ancient Egyptian runes.
So far we get a good look at Venture’s skillset which are all drill-based. I can’t help but shake that their ability to tunnel into the ground is something akin to swimming across ink in Nintendo’s Splatoon. We should expect some more specifics as the character undergoes the limited time trial this weekend.
Venture arrives for Overwatch 2 Season 10 which launched on April 16, but they will be available to play for limited-time trial which runs from March 28–March 31.
Overwatch 2 is now playable for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
