All the big studios may have skipped out on San Diego Comic-Con this year, but Insomniac Games just took the opportunity to take the center stage and give us a better look at Spider-Man 2 for the PS5. They’ve officially released the story trailer, and we have a better look at Venom as well as the resurrected Harry Osborne.

While it’s not really confirmed in the trailer, a lot of fans have been heavily guessing that this game’s Venom is going to be Harry and not Eddie Brock, and based on what we’ve seen, it looks like that’s going to be the case.
If anything, there’s still a lot of room for Brock to show up, what with MJ being a reporter, so maybe the symbiote latches itself onto him once Peter and Miles manage to stop Kraven and save Harry. Then again, that’s just speculation on my part.
With the Spider-Man lore being retold time and again, Insomniac has been finding out ways to try and be original with their characters. They’ve already killed Aunt May in the first game, so it’s curious how they’re going to be shaking things up for Spider-Man 2. You think we’ll finally get the Green Goblin? How about a Multiverse set-up for the third game?
We’ll just have to wait and see.
The Spider-Men, Peter Parker and Miles Morales, enter new chapters in their lives as they balance their responsibilities as protectors of Marvel’s New York. As Harry Osborne, Peter’s best friend, returns into his life, and Miles looks to build his future beyond high school, the relationship between our heroes is tested and strained as the Symbiote appears to threaten them, the city, and the ones they love.
Spider-Man 2 launches for the PlayStation 5 on Oct. 20.
