While we don’t know when Transformers will be coming back to the big screen, Netflix is set to release this CG-animated Transformers series which looks to bring back the G-1 aesthetic. In time with the New York Toy Fair, we have a new trailer for Transformers – Ware for Cyberteon: Siege.
Check it out:
Here’s the first official New York Toy Fair teaser for SIEGE, Chapter One of the TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY premiering on @Netflix! Dive into the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons on Cybertron.
With the toyline coming first, we know that Siege is just the beginning of this War for Cybertron series. Next will come Earthrise, but we have yet to get details on the last chapter on this show. If anything, fans are excited to see this show finally come out, seeing that they’ve been collecting the toys since last year.
While the Transformers shows usually take place on Earth, I’m really interested to have the main setting be on Cybertron. If you ask me, they should just scrap the Earth storyline for a while and just give us an full-on animated War on Cybertron movie. The opening scene from Bumblebee had so much potential.
TRANSFORMERS: WAR FOR CYBERTRON TRILOGY: SIEGE begins in the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. The war that has torn apart their home planet of Cybertron is at a tipping point. Two leaders, Optimus Prime and Megatron, both want to save their world and unify their people, but only on their own terms. In an attempt to end the conflict, Megatron is forced to consider using the Allspark, the source of all life and power on Cybertron, to “reformat” the Autobots, thus “unifying” Cybertron. Outnumbered, outgunned, and under SIEGE, the battle-weary Autobots orchestrate a desperate series of counterstrikes on a mission that, if everything somehow goes right, will end with an unthinkable choice: kill their planet in order to save it.
No specific release date has been set for Transformers – War for Cybertron: Siege, but we should expect it to release within the year.
