The Transformers franchise may have fizzled out in the box office lately, but Hasbro is looking to relaunch it with a new toyline which comes with a Netflix animated series. With the War for Cybertron trilogy coming by the end of this month, we have a new teaser showcasing the war between the Autobots and Decepticons.

It is the final hours of the devastating civil war between the Autobots and Decepticons. Watch the never before told stories of the Autobots vs Decepticons unfold as Optimus Prime and Megatron lead their iconic comrades to fight for their future. This war ends now.
With this being a trilogy, Siege will be the first part of the series, which will be followed up by Earthrise. We don’t have a title for the third part of the trilogy yet, but I assume that Hasbro will make tha announcement alongside the next wave of Transformers toys.
What I particularly like about this upcoming show is that they are choosing to embrace the G1 look of the Transformers with a few tweaks here and there. What I also love is how there seems to be no human characters attached. With the Transformers themselves having their own personalities and traits, I always thought humans could just project themselves on characters like Optimus Prime or Bumblebee rather than humans like Sam Witwicky or Charlie.
Transformers: War for Cybertron – Siege is set to debut on Netflix July 30.
