Emma Mackey and Ncuti Gatwa are expected to appear in the Barbie movies and variants of Barbie and Ken, but they’re set to come back to Netflix for one more season of Sex Education. The series is set to premiere this September, and we have a new trailer following up on Otis and friends.
Check this out:
We don’t have a synopsis for what kind of arc we can expect from Otis in the final season, but it does look like he’s going to be opening up to the school about being a sex therapist. With the show starting out with Otis doing an underground sex clinic, the tables have certainly turned with him now openly announcing it to the school.
Though it’s great that most of the main cast will be back for the final season, some fan favorites won’t be making a comeback, unfortunately. Tanya Reynolds (Lily), Patricia Allison (Ola), and Simon Ashley (Olivia) won’t be appearing for the sendoff; the show even lost Rakee Thakrar who played teacher Emily Sands.
It’s going to be odd to walk into the final season of the show without the complete cast (specifically with Lily), but as long as the arcs are solid, I think fans will forgive it. We still have the best friend tandems of Eric/Otis and Maeve/Aimee, plus we should finally jump right into the Otis/Maeve pairing especially since they didn’t get to push through last season.
Catch Sex Education 4 when it premieres on Netflix on Sept. 21.
