Very few workplace comedies manage to break the mould these days, but Quinta Brunson’s Abbott Elementary is proving to be a huge success. The show is gearing up for the premiere of its third season, and we have a new trailer showcasing the returning teachers of Abbott.

The last season of Abbott had the school worrying about getting taken over by Legendary Charter School, which they successfully managed to subvert. We don’t know what kind of shenanigans the teachers will get into in Season 3, but it does look like Ava (Janelle James) is going to be a pseudo-antagonist for the teachers.
Though Ava had spent most of the show pretty much toeing the line of what it means to be a competent principal, it does look like she’s finally gotten a passion for learning, and it seems that the teachers of Abbott are going to have to suffer for it.
Abbott Elementary may not have the same kind of edginess as hit shows like The Bear or Euphoria, but a lot of people think that’s what contributes to its popularity and success. Not only does the show shed a light on a relevant social issue when it comes to its portrayal of educators, but it does so while also remaining very heartfelt and funny.
Hopefully it can manage to keep its hot streak for a couple more years until the end of its run.
Abbott Elementary Season 3 premieres on ABC and Hulu on Feb. 7.
