The White Lotus Season 3 just ended, but somehow the show has managed to keep gathering drama online. With so many people complaining about how some plot points seemed like they brought nothing to the table, series creator Mike White has some choice words for the haters.
Talking during the White Lotus official podcast (via @regissphilbin), White says that this was the ‘vibe of the series, and if it wasn’t their jam, they should just ‘get out of his bed.’ Here’s what White said:
“There was complaing about how there’s no plot and that part I find weird because that part never—part of me is like, ‘Bro, this is the vibe. I’m worldbuilding.’—If you don’t wanna go to bed with me, get out of my bed.”

To add a more graphic metaphor, White continued, “I’m edging you. Enjoy the edging. If you don’t wanna be edged, get out of my bed. Don’t be a bossy bottom or get the f*ck out of my bed. Don’t come home with me, don’t get naked with me, get the f*ck out of my bed.”
Admittedly, the quote does sound kind of weird when it’s just written down, but listening to the clip, it does sound like White is more or less just joking.
If anything, the popularity of White Lotus has led to some other people posting their comments about the show online, and it’s one of those series that definitely doesn’t hold the audience’s hand when it wants to tell its story.
Some are fine with how the season turned out, but there are also some with takes that feel like they’re just missing the point.
