The Mandalorian: Comedy Group Condemns Jason Sudeikis for Punching Baby Yoda

The final episode of The Mandalorian had given us some fun characters in the form of bumbling scout troopers played by Jason Sudeikis and Adam Pally; but everyone was aghast when both troopers had punched internet darling Baby Yoda. What’s funny is, Sudeikis’ old comedy group, The Second City, has gone online to condemn Sudeikis for his ‘crimes’.

Check it out:

Though the troopers only appear in the beginning of the episode, I have to say, it was pretty fun to see how they interact on their downtime. I mean, they could be needlessly cruel like the stormtroopers from early episodes, but it was fun just to see their exchange, from the one scout just wanting to see what was in the bag, to both of them not being able to hit a single target.

If The Mandalorian was to be more experimental, I hope we could see an episode that just focused on troopers and their day to day. After all, the Empire isn’t in power anymore, so it would be interesting to see how the remaining forces function. Fans must be curious to see how Moff Gideon kept everyone in line, and knowing Star Wars, the expanded universe is there to make sure no stone is left unturned.

Make it like the Rick and Morty episode that took place solely in the Citadel of Ricks:

For now, you can catch the first season of The Mandalorian on Disney+. The second season is set to premiere in the fall of 2020.
