The Darksaber was teased way back during the finale of The Mandalorian Season One, and this upcoming season will have Din Djarin completely wielding it.
Just in, we have a new poster for Mando wielding the Darksaber, and it has him standing on his new starfighter with Grogu in the droid seat. Check it:

With the show focused on the identity of Mando and what it means to be a Mandalorian, the third season promises to have Din facing the people of his culture, and it looks like they will be trying to reclaim Mandalore after it was decimated by the Empire (referred to in canon as The Siege of Mandalore).
Even if we are going to Mandalore with all the other armored Mandalorians and Bo-Katan Kryze, the previews have confirmed that we’re going to be returning to the usual locales, what with Mando running into Greef Karga again, and a possible return to Tatooine.
We’ve also barely returned to Coruscant after the events of Revenge of the Sith, so it would be interesting to see how the former capital of the galaxy has been doing, especially since the story of The Mandalorian takes place after the fall of the Empire.
With some complaining that Andor was too cerebral for its own good, we should expect The Mandalorian to return back to its episodic, adventure-a-week format when it returns. I’m just hoping Boba Fett gets to hijack some episodes since Mando did the same with Boba’s show.
The Mandalorian Season 3 is set to come out on Disney+ on March 1.
