The GTA VI Trailer has Leaked Online

It’s been 10 years since the release of Grand Theft Auto V, and Rockstar Games has been keeping a tight lid with their upcoming GTA VI. They were supposed to be have a proper release set, but the trailer has leaked early, forcing Rockstar to publish the trailer early as well.

Watch this:

The official description for the game reads:

“‘Grand Theft Auto VI’ heads to the state of Leonida, home to the neon-soaked streets of Vice City and beyond in the biggest, most immersive evolution of the Grand Theft Auto series yet.”

The dual protagonists of the series are Lucia and Jason, who are hinted at in the trailer as lovers—giving the game a kind of Bonnie and Clyde vibe. Though Lucia does seem to be the central protagonist in the trailer, it’s said that players will easily be able to switch between the two when they play the game.

Oddly enough, though the Rocksteady game does seem to have the modern technology of the 2020s, it does seem that the GTA VI is really leaning on the ‘80s nostalgia, fuelled with neon and cocaine. And though Leonida is a fictional city, a lot of fans have already been poking fun at the game being a “Florida Simulator”.

The game has been in development for quite a while, but fans will have to wait until 2025 to actually get their hands on it. We don’t know what’s taking so long with the game, but given all this time, fans are convinced this is going to be one massive online multiplayer experience. Then again, that’s just a hunch.

Watch out for Grand Theft Auto VI when it launches sometime in 2025.
