It’s often overlooked, but having Ben Affleck gone from the Batman role could mean that Jeremy Irons could also be done playing his version of Alfred Pennyworth. With Batfleck assured to make an appearance in The Flash, word is going around that Alfred could be showing up as well.
This comes from @ViewerAnon who says that Irons could be playing the Wayne family butler one more time in The Flash. They post:
Very surprised I haven't seen this leak yet but here's a small thing I hope will make people happy: Jeremy Irons is back as Alfred in THE FLASH.

@FlashFilmNews also adds to the news, saying that Alfred won’t just be a voice cameo, but will also have an onscreen appearance in the first act of the movie:
Alfred is in the first act and appears on camera. He’s not just a voice in Bruce and Barry’s ear during the heist with the Batcycle

Some fans actually think that WB might keep Irons on as the Alfred to Michael Keaton’s Bruce Wayne, but seeing that the two only have a three-year age difference, they might want to cast someone older as Alfred or de-age Keaton for a few years.
Then again, there hasn’t been any official confirmation on WB’s part about Alfred’s return, so we’ll just have to wait and see. Though Michael Caine was a supportive Alfred, and Andy Serkis was more concerned with Bruce living up to the Wayne legacy; I enjoyed Irons’ take on the character—though he is an active supporter of Batman, he’s never shy of having some dry quips paired with some much-needed gravitas for the Dark Knight.
With the movie set to come out June of next year, we might have to wait until early 2023 to get a look at The Flash. Let’s hope this will be the last delay of the movie after all these years.
The Flash is set to hit theaters on June 23, 2023.
