With The Batman still making good box office numbers, it’s a wonder why the film is being released so early on HBO Max. Nevertheless, a lot of fans are hyped for Battinson to make it to streaming, and the first 10 minutes of the film have been released to convince newbies to get an HBO Max subscription.

There are a lot of things to love about this film, and the introduction is definitely one of them. Not only do we get a good look at Gotham two years after the rise of the Batman, but we also get the chilling introduction of the Riddler.
You have to appreciate what director Matt Reeves is visually trying to do with the characters, as he wants the Riddler to be a distorted mirror of Batman as a symbol. In just the first 10 minutes, we have an introduction to the new Gotham and the central characters, and we also get the symbolism of both Riddler and Batman emerging from the dark.

Batman ventures into Gotham City’s underworld when a sadistic killer leaves behind a trail of cryptic clues. As the evidence begins to lead closer to home and the scale of the perpetrator’s plans become clear, he must forge new relationships, unmask the culprit and bring justice to the abuse of power and corruption that has long plagued the metropolis.
