The animated series is set to premiere this December, and we have our first trailer featuring Rick Flagg Sr., the Bride, Dr. Phosphorus, Weasel, Nina Mazursky, and G.I. Robot. Check it:

Admittedly, it does feel like the lineup is pretty much like the misfits of Task Force X, but the difference with Creature Commandos is that every member isn’t considered a human.

It’s unclear what exactly the format of the series is yet, but I wouldn’t be surprised if it was more episodic this time around, with only small reveals for each character’s backstory with every episode. Though I would like one tight, connected narrative, I think that would just make the series feel more like Suicide Squad before it.

Having the team in different adventures every episode could offer a different feel for the property; plus it opens up the show for more creative storytelling. At least, that’s my opinion. I’m also willing to just wait and see what Gunn has in store for the show.

With Gunn taking over a wholesome property like Superman, it does seem like Creature Commandos is more of his violent, comedy wheelhouse. Then again, this looks to be the first major animated project with Gunn, so we’ll have to see just how it’s different from what he’s delivered before.

Catch Creature Commandos when it premieres on Max this coming Dec. 5.

WATCH: Kevin Conroy’s Final Scene as Batman https://www.geekfeed.com/watch-kevin-conroys-final-scene-as-batman/ Thu, 18 Jul 2024 12:01:03 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=83361 DC fans had lost Kevin Conroy back in 2022, and it still feels like they’re mourning the loss of a performer who was behind one of the most definitive versions of the Dark Knight.

What’s interesting is, the recently released Justice League: Crisis of Infinite Earths Part Three features one final performance of Conroy as Batman, and it has him tackling the Joker for one last time. Check this out:

https://twitter.com/DCUPRIMETV/status/1813041573221048450

“I must say Batsy, I’m flattered. The end of the world, and you want to spend it with me? I didn’t know you cared.”

“I care, Joker, about Gotham, about Justice, and if it has to end, at least I go out like this—being Batman.”

Admittedly, it’s kind of a shame that they didn’t get Mark Hamill to voice the Joker for this final scene with Conroy, but at least the dialogue feels like a nice bookend to his run as the animated Batman.

Before this scene, a lot of fans were bemoaning the idea that his final performance as the Dark Knight would be in the poorly received Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game. At least it’s going to be in an adaptation of one of the most celebrated DC comic events—and it’s as the version of Batman that made him famous in the first place.

Now fully revealed as the ultimate threat to existence, the ANTI-MONITOR wages an unrelenting attack on the surviving Earths that struggle for survival in a pocket universe. One-by-one, these worlds and all their inhabitants are vaporized! On the planets that remain, even time itself is shattered and heroes from the past join the Justice League and their rag-tag allies against the epitome of evil. But as they make their last stand, will the sacrifice of the superheroes be enough to save us all?

Justice League: Crisis on Infinite Earths Part Three is now available on digital.

“Time to Wing It!”: Watch Latest Trailer for Kite Man – Hell Yeah! https://www.geekfeed.com/watch-latest-trailer-for-kite-man-hell-yeah/ Wed, 03 Jul 2024 10:14:51 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=83130 The animated Harley Quinn series had carved out its own wacky version of the DCU, and fans are getting a spinoff with Ivy’s ex-fiancee named Kite Man: Hell Yeah!.

The series is set to premiere later this month, and we have a new trailer showcasing Kite Man and all the different villains that will be showing up in his spinoff series. Check this out:

Though the DC baddie didn’t push through with his partnership with Ivy, this show is giving him a new love interest in the form of Golden Glider, the younger sister of Captain Cold. We also get to see that Kite Man is starting his own business in the form of a bar; and it looks like it’s going to be featuring appearances from all kinds of DC villains big and small—from Polka-Dot Man to Darkseid.

With the Harley Quinn series already being as wild as it is, it’s curious how Kite Man is going to set itself apart. HQ already has the wacky version of the villains getting into random hijinks with Harley; but how would things be different now that Kite Man is at the center of the show? Even the animation style and look are the same.

Even if that was the case, it does seem like WB has enough faith in the character to actually give him a spinoff. I guess he’s one of the more memorable supporting characters from the Harley series, so it would be great to see how he really comes out now that he has his own show.

Catch Kite Man: Hell Yeah! when it premieres on Max this July 18.

Watch Trailer for Batman: Caped Crusader from Producers J.J. Abrams, Matt Reeves, and Bruce Timm https://www.geekfeed.com/watch-trailer-for-batman-caped-crusader/ Tue, 02 Jul 2024 14:05:14 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=83097 Bruce Timm is one of the chief architects when it comes to Batman: The Animated Series (and the rest of the DCEU), and now he’s teamed up with Matt Reeves and J.J. Abrams to deliver the latest take on Batman.

Check out the trailer for the first season of Batman: Caped Crusader:

The official description reads:

Welcome to Gotham City, where the corrupt outnumber the good, criminals run rampant and law-abiding citizens live in a constant state of fear. Forged in the fire of tragedy, wealthy socialite Bruce Wayne becomes something both more and less than human—the BATMAN. His one-man crusade attracts unexpected allies within the GCPD and City Hall, but his heroic actions spawn deadly, unforeseen ramifications.

The series essentially takes Batman and his rogues back to the 50s, and we can see the depiction of Batman closer to his debut look in the first comic from Bob Kane and Bill Finger.

What’s interesting is, some villains that haven’t been created around that time—like Harley Quinn—have been given the period treatment, and the show promises to give us these new versions of the characters that were supposed to exist around that time period.

It’s a pretty interesting pitch when it comes to Batman, and a chance to see how they would revamp the characters for a period setting.

Hamish Linklater will voice the part of Batman, and other cast members include Christina Ricci (Catwoman), Jamie Chung (Harley Quinn), and Diedrich Bader (Harvery Dent/Two-Face). Other cast members include McKenna Grace, Haley Joel Osment, John DiMaggio, and Paul Scheer.

Catch all 10 episodes of Batman: Caped Crusader when they release on Amazon Prime Video on Aug. 1.

Watch Anime Opening for Suicide Squad ISEKAI https://www.geekfeed.com/watch-anime-opening-for-suicide-squad-isekai/ Mon, 24 Jun 2024 16:07:44 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=83036 It may be a while before the new DCU launches in theatres, but DC is trying something new with the upcoming anime adaptation of Suicide Squad ISEKAI from Wit Studio.

The anime is set to premiere later this week, and they’ve officially released the opening sequence. Check this out:

Just in case you’re not familiar with Wit Studio, they’re the same animation studio that delivered hits like Attack on Titan, Spy x Family, and Netflix’s The Great Pretender.

Looking at the Suicide Squad intro, it does seem we have some more characters appearing besides the main Squad members including Harley Quinn, King Shark, Peacemaker, Clayface, and Deadshot.

We have teasers for characters like the Joker, the Thinker, and Katana. It also seems like we’re going to have the Enchantress be a villain in the movie, as her straw heart looks just like the one that Waller has from the first Suicide Squad.

With the Squad going to a fantasy world, we should expect other fantasy tropes to show up in the series like monsters and dungeons. By the looks of the opening, we should also expect them to run into a dragon. Personally I would love if they managed to include some fantasy versions of other DC characters like a medieval Batman or a medieval version of villains like Scarecrow or Killer Croc.

It’s unclear how many more anime adaptations we’re getting for DC, but based on the success of Suicide Squad ISEKAI, we could be getting more down the line. Personally I hope they do a collaboration with Trigger (Dungeon Meshi, Kill la Kill) at some point.

Catch Suicide Squad ISEKAI when it premieres on Max on June 27.

Go-Go Mystery Machine: Scooby-Doo is Getting an “Anime-Like” Series https://www.geekfeed.com/go-go-mystery-machine-scooby-doo-anime-series/ Thu, 20 Jun 2024 17:44:57 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=82944 Scooby-Doo may have come out back in the 60s, but Mystery Inc. has gotten several revamps over the years including an adult animated comedy from Mindy Kaling called Velma. Despite the several variations, Scoob and Shaggy are now going to have one major revamp in that they’re going to be in an anime series—well, “anime-like” as they call it.

Here’s a look at Go-Go Mystery Machine:

The official description from WB Animation reads:

While visiting Japan on the ultimate foodie adventure, Shaggy and Scooby-Doo unwittingly unleash hundreds of mischievous mythical monsters that are now causing trouble all over the country. With the help of Scooby’s uncle, Daisuke-Doo, and magical friend Etsuko and gadget wiz Toshiro, Shaggy, and Scooby have new mysteries to solve and monsters to catch!

Franciso Paredes, who created the show, has worked on titles like Young Justice and the animated Baby Shark series.

This looks like another one of those WB animated properties being put through a Japanese filter. This year, we’re also expecting to see an anime-fied version of The Suicide Squad with the upcoming Suicide Squad ISEKAI.

Going back to Go-Go Mystery Machine, it does look like Shaggy and Scooby are going to be dealing with actual monsters this time, and they’re going to be very Japanese specifically. We don’t know what kind of humor to expect yet, but My Adventures with Superman does have a very anime look, despite being clearly written with a Western audience in mind.

Hopefully we’ll get a better idea when they drop the first teaser.

Go-Go Mystery Machine is expected to premiere sometime later this year.

Watch New Teaser for Animated Watchmen Chapters 1 and 2 https://www.geekfeed.com/animated-watchmen-chapters-1-and-2-teaser/ Sat, 15 Jun 2024 14:51:30 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=82882 It was 2009 when Zack Snyder’s Watchmen was released, and we got the sequel series from Damon Lindelof ten years later with HBO’s Watchmen in 2019. Now WB is looking to milk the Watchmen cow again with an animated adaptation of the Alan Moore’s seminal graphic novel.

Here’s a look at Watchmen Chapters 1 and 2:

Who watches the Watchmen? Catch Watchmen Chapters I & II, a faithful animated adaptation of the iconic graphic novel! The Clock is Ticking…

Note that the key word here is ‘faithful.’ Though Snyder did attempt to recreate as much of the original comic frame by frame, he did manage to change a few things. Besides the more violent tone that the movie had, the ending was also changed so that instead of the ‘goofy’ doomsday device that was an artificial alien squid, Snyder instead had Ozymandias killing millions of people by duplicating Doctor Manhattan’s powers and blaming everything on him.

Admittedly, the alien squid would have seemed pretty goofy back in 2009, but Watchmen 2019 was able to pull it off with the moment feeling every bit as terrifying in the comic.

As for the animated Watchmen, I’m honestly not a fan of the What If…? aesthetic, but so far fans have been pretty positive about seeing a new take on the classic book. Hopefully this time the animation will address some of the things from the film that people have issues with.

Watch out for the animated Watchmen which is set to come out later this year.

Lex Luthor Arrives in New Trailer for Second Season of My Adventures with Superman https://www.geekfeed.com/trailer-for-s02-of-my-adventures-with-superman/ Sun, 05 May 2024 14:37:33 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=82218 Everyone may be waiting on James Gunn’s reboot of Superman with David Corenswet, but the Man of Steel has found a renewed take in Adult Swim’s My Adventures with Superman.

The second season is set to premiere this month, and we have a new trailer showcasing some new villains—specifically Superman’s comic nemesis Lex Luthor. Check this out:

The official synopsis for Season 2 reads:

“In the second season, the three best friends face a host of new threats. Powerful foes will emerge from Clark’s alien past, Amanda Waller will take aim at Superman, Lois will grapple with the future, and Jimmy Olsen will spend an unbelievable amount of money. Krypton is coming for our young heroes, and its arrival will test their strength, loyalty and love like never before.”

No doubt, Lex is the biggest reveal in the trailer, and just like his live-action counterpart, it looks like he’s going to be some kind of tech mogul. While Superman is known to look very strong and sturdy, this Lex is a bit scrawny and young; everyone is already wondering how he’s going to lose his hair, and they imagine it’s going to be brutal.

On the other hand, it does look like the world is starting to expand more outside of the City of Metropolis with the arrival of Amanda Waller. It could be a matter of time before we get this series version of Task Force X/Suicide Squad or a crossover with another hero.

The second season of My Adventures with Superman is set to premiere on Adult Swim and Max on May 25.

Listen to the Official Voice of Foghorn Leghorn Read Memes of Him Rambling at Anime Characters https://www.geekfeed.com/foghorn-leghorn-read-memes-rambling-at-anime/ Wed, 24 Apr 2024 11:05:35 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=82089 WB Pictures may not think that a Looney Tunes movie may do well in the box office with them shelving Coyote vs. Acme, but the internet has recently proven that these characters are still pretty relevant today.

A recent meme that’s been popping up is one that has Foghorn Leghorn rambling at anime characters, and everyone has been having a blast. Check out some of these posts:

The meme has gotten so viral that it eventually got the attention of official Looney Tunes actor Eric Bauza; and he’s decided to post some videos of himself recording some of the memes that have been going around.

Here’s Foghorn rambling at Goku and Vegeta:

https://twitter.com/bauzilla/status/1782847606592532864

https://twitter.com/bauzilla/status/1782844117736910961

And here’s him giving Frieren a stern talking to:

https://twitter.com/bauzilla/status/1782845929026121867

For context, Foghorn Leghorn is supposed to be a parody of Southern politicians from the US, and he’s said to be directly influenced by 1940 radio character Senator Claghorn. Besides his iconic Southern drawl, Leghorn is also known for the heavy use of the word ‘boy’ and it’s usually included in the phrase, “boy, I say boy…”.

When it comes to viral internet memes, we don’t really know what kind of trend will come around next; and that’s the real beauty of the medium. It will probably stick around for a couple of weeks, as per the meme lifecycle, but for now, people are just enjoying the meshing of the two genres that are Looney Tunes and anime.

I’ll tell you what, it’s not as insufferable as the “Look between X and Y on your keyboard” meme.

Harley Quinn’s Kite Man Gets His Own Spinoff Series in Teaser for Kite Man: Hell Yeah! https://www.geekfeed.com/harley-quinns-kite-man-gets-his-own-spinoff-series-in-teaser-for-kite-man-hell-yeah/ Fri, 22 Sep 2023 14:29:12 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=78847 The animated Harley Quinn series has had a penchant for having fun with all kinds of DC characters—especially obscure ones, and Kite Man had his time to shine as Poison Ivy’s ex-fiance.

With him out of the relationship though, Max has dropped a trailer for his spinoff Kite Man: Hell Yeah! Which will also feature a lot of other DC faces including Darkseid and Harley Quinn herself. Check this out:

We don’t know much about the story yet, but we should expect some more hijinks with the character who actually had his own memorable moments in the Harley Quinn show.

Though Kite Man is technically a villain, the fact that he was able to step away and let Harley and Ivy be together has fans praising him for being a stand-up guy. Now he’s dating the Golden Glider (who we see in the trailer), the younger sister of Captain Cold.

Max may have been cancelling animated series left and right, so it’s kind of surprising that a character like Kite Man would actually get his own show. It’s unclear how the series will manage to set itself apart from Harley Quinn, but it’s possible we could have some more male-focused stories with even more obscure characters from the comics showing up.

It’s just a guess.

No official release date has been announced for Kite Man: Hell Yeah!, but you can watch out for it on Max sometime in 2024.

Harley Joins the Bat-Fam in Trailer for Harley Quinn Season 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/harley-joins-the-bat-fam-in-harley-quinn-season-4/ Thu, 27 Jul 2023 11:24:40 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=77979 We may not know when Margot Robbie’s Harley Quinn will return to theaters, but WB’s animated series Harley Quinn is still going strong on Max. Season 4 is set to premiere this week, and we have a new trailer showcasing more R-rated shenanigans from Gotham’s favorite crazy clown girl.

Check this out:

With the last season bringing Harley and Ivy together, it looks Season 4 will once again have them at the opposite ends of the hero/villain spectrum, what with Harley joining the Bat-Family and Ivy getting in on Lex Luthor’s Legion of Doom.

While the clash between the Legion and the Justice League is expected, the inclusion of Harley on the heroes’ side is definitely a good set-up for comic book shenanigans and Harley not quite grasping what it means to be a law-abiding hero.

You have to hand it to a show like Harley Quinn. While the DC side of movies had been flip-flopping on what kind of direction to take with its stories, HQ was able to move forward with its zany take on DC characters, with the heroes even being written to be less than perfect than their live-action counterparts.

Not to mention Harley Quinn also manages to make topical jokes at internet pop-culture managing to poke fun at the dark Joker solo movie starring Joaquin Phoenix as well as Zack Snyder’s Justice League loyalists and their hate for ‘woke’ media.

Harley Quinn Season 4 premieres on Max on July 27.

Clark Kent Goes Full Anime in Intro for My Adventures with Superman https://www.geekfeed.com/full-anime-in-my-adventures-with-superman/ Fri, 16 Jun 2023 09:08:35 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=77325 James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy may be aiming for a release in 2025, but Adult Swim is delivering to us a new take on the Man of Steel with the upcoming My Adventures with Superman. The series is set to premiere next month, and AS has released the anime-esque intro.

Check the trailer for My Adventures with Superman down here:

We don’t really get that much on the story, but we do have a lot of focus on the trio of Clark Kent/Superman, Lois Lane, and Jimmy Olsen. We also get a look of who could be this show’s version of Jor-El, plus we also have a tease of the villains that Superman could be going up against on the show.

With the way that modern animation on superhero properties has gone, it seems that there has been an emphasis on violence with some of DC’s animated films getting the hard-R, as well as Amazon shows like Invincible and The Boys Presents: Diabolical.

This fresh take on Superman though does look like it’s going to be on the more positive, lighthearted side, and I’m all up for it. Hopefully it will keep Superman fans satiated while they wait for their first look at Superman: Legacy.

In this serialized coming-of-age story, we follow Clark (Jack Quaid) as he builds his secret Superman identity and embraces his role as the hero of Metropolis – and perhaps the world. Lois (Alice Lee), now growing into a star investigative journalist, takes aspiring photographer Jimmy Olsen (Ishmel Sahid) under her wing. All the while, Clark and Lois are falling in love, sharing adventures, taking down bad guys, stumbling over secrets, and discovering what it means to be Superman and Lois Lane.

My Adventures with Superman premieres on Max and Adult Swim on July 6.

The Man of Steel Returns in New Teaser for My Adventures with Superman https://www.geekfeed.com/new-teaser-for-my-adventures-with-superman/ Mon, 10 Apr 2023 07:43:11 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=76229 We’ll probably have to wait a few more years before we get to see James Gunn’s Superman: Legacy in theaters, but Adult Swim is gearing up for its own Superman series focusing on Lois Lane with My Adventures with Superman.

Just in, we have our first teaser for the show, and it gives us a look at Superman, Lois, and Jimmy Olsen. Check this out:

Here’s the official description:

Coming this summer to Adult Swim, My Adventures with Superman follows the action-packed, comedic and romantic adventures of Superman and Lois Lane. The series stars Jack Quaid as the voice of Clark Kent, Alice Lee as the voice of Lois Lane, and Ishmael Sahid as the voice of Jimmy Olsen.

Though fans are very familiar with Lois Lane as a brunette with long hair, here she’s given a look that’s identical to that of Luz from Disney’s Owl House. They’ve also changed Jimmy Olsen’s race; he was originally portrayed as a redhead in comics and other versions of the character.

I have to say, I also love their design for Superman. I like seeing the different shades of blue on the suit, and while modern incarnations have tried to get rid of the red briefs, I like how it adds a but more color to the overall look.

We don’t know when we’ll get a full trailer drop, but we could get something around May, close to the premiere on Adult Swim.

No specific release date has been announced for My Adventures with Superman, but the show is expected to debut this summer.

A Surprise Orgy Must be Stopped in Trailer for Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special https://www.geekfeed.com/trailer-for-harley-quinn-valentines-day-special/ Thu, 26 Jan 2023 14:27:46 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=73061 We don’t know if Margot Robbie is ever going to come back as Harley Quinn down the line, but Kaley Cuoco’s version seems to having her fun on HBO Max. With the Valentine’s Season incoming, we have a new trailer for Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special.

Watch this:

Here’s the official description:

As Harley goes to obsessive lengths to ensure that her first Valentine’s Day with Ivy is the best ever, Bane’s efforts to impress an unexpected date go horribly awry. Meanwhile, after an unfortunate online dating encounter, Clayface engages in some self-love.

So far, the special looks like its own self-contained story with the focus on Harley and Ivy. With Joker’s presence in the main show, you’d think that he would have something to do with a Valentine’s Day special, then again, a lot of people who write Batman consider the Joker’s real great love is the Dark Knight and not Harley.

Since this show doesn’t really take itself too seriously, we should just expect the Valentine’s Day special to just really have fun with the comic book romance ball. While it’s going to be fun seeing what the other characters would be up to on this holiday, I’m eager to see more of Harley and Ivy’s relationship evolve moving forward. Who’d have thought that sexy clowns and plant moms would go so well together?

Harley Quinn: A Very Problematic Valentine’s Day Special comes to HBO Max on Feb. 9.

Mike Mignola’s Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham Comes to Life in New Trailer https://www.geekfeed.com/batman-the-doom-that-came-to-gotham-new-trailer/ Mon, 23 Jan 2023 15:29:57 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=73032 Hellboy creator Mike Mignola had made the Elsworld comic Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham back in 2000, and now WB Animation is adapting the property into an animated film.

Check out the first trailer for Batman: The Doom That Came to Gotham:

Here’s the official description:

Inspired by the comic book series by Mike Mignola, Richard Pace and Troy Nixey, BATMAN: THE DOOM THAT CAME TO GOTHAM is a 1920s-based tale that finds explorer Bruce Wayne accidentally unleashing an ancient evil, expediting his return to Gotham City after a two-decade hiatus. The logic/science-driven Batman must battle Lovecraftian supernatural forces threatening the sheer existence of Gotham, along the way being aided and confronted by reimagined versions of his well-known allies and enemies, including Green Arrow, Ra’s al Ghul, Mr. Freeze, Killer Croc, Two-Face, James Gordon and Bruce’s beloved wards. Prepare for a mystical, often terrifying Batman adventure unlike any other.

Since this is an Elseworld story, we don’t really have to worry about anything sticking to the canon, so we can just enjoy all these new kinds of spins on established characters. Like with previous comic adaptations, we should also expect the movie to add some more characters and moments that weren’t in the comics, just to keep everyone on their toes.

With a March release, hopefully we get a new trailer sometime in February.

Batman: The Doom that Came to Gotham will be available on digital, Blu-Ray, and 4K UHD on March 28.

Superhero Class is in Session in Trailer for Legion of Super-Heroes https://www.geekfeed.com/trailer-for-legion-of-super-heroes-released/ Fri, 25 Nov 2022 13:34:55 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=72150 The Teen Titans and Young Justice may have been the main superhero groups that include young people in DC, but some fans forget about the Legion of Super-Heroes. Just in, WB is releasing an animated film featuring a new version of the Legion, and we have a new trailer.

Watch this:

Here’s the official description:

Welcome to the 31st century and the Legion Academy, where a new generation hones their powers with hopes of joining the Legion of Super-Heroes. Devastated by tragedy, Supergirl struggles to adjust to her new life on Earth. Taking her cousin Superman’s advice, Supergirl leaves their space-time to attend the Academy. There, she quickly makes new friends, as well as a new enemy with old ties: Brainiac 5. But a nefarious plot lurks in the shadows – the mysterious group known as the Dark Circle seeks a powerful weapon held in the Academy’s vault. Find out if the budding heroes can rise to the challenge in this all-new DC Universe Movie!

Back in the late ‘00s, there was actually a Legion of Super Heroes series that featured a younger Superman undergoing superhero training with the likes of Lightning Lad, Brainiac 5, Saturn Girl, and Bouncing Boy.

It even looks like the film is taking a leaf from that series, seeing as they’re bringing a superhero from the present to train with the heroes in the future—only this time, it’s Supergirl and not Superman.

I was actually a fan of the old series, and it has been kind of odd that we haven’t gotten a new version of the Legion any sooner. Hopefully we can get a whole series of films with these new characters because I remember loving the show when it was out.

Legion of Super-Heroes comes to Blu-Ray and digital sometime in 2023.

New DC League of Super-Pets Trailer Promises Fun https://www.geekfeed.com/new-dc-league-of-super-pets-trailer-promises-fun/ Thu, 05 May 2022 15:21:28 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65115 After voicing Maui in Moana, the Rock is once again coming back to animation as Superman’s dog, Krypto. DC League of Super-Pets is set to hit theaters this July, and we have a new trailer to hype up Krypto’s gang of super-animals.

Check out the new DC League of Super-Pets trailer down here:

We’ve known for a while that the Justice League will be captured in this movie, and though it looked like a plot by Lex Luthor, it seems that another talking animal will be the one to take down the world’s elite team of superheroes—enter Krypto and his friends who have some newly-gained powers and are also new to the superhero gig.

Though the main focus of the movie is going to be the animals, I’m kind of excited to see the rest of the Justice League. The movie has some very unique designs for DC’s biggest heroes, and they have been serving looks that no live-action film would even bother with. I mean, classic Cyborg with the afro? Zack Snyder wouldn’t dare.

In “DC League of Super-Pets,” Krypto the Super-Dog and Superman are inseparable best friends, sharing the same superpowers and fighting crime in Metropolis side by side. When Superman and the rest of the Justice League are kidnapped, Krypto must convince a rag-tag shelter pack—Ace the hound, PB the potbellied pig, Merton the turtle and Chip the squirrel—to master their own newfound powers and help him rescue the Super Heroes.

Catch DC League of Super-Pets when it flies into theaters on July 9.

Scooby-Doo Teams Up with Courage the Cowardly Dog in New Trailer for Straight Outta Nowhere https://www.geekfeed.com/scooby-doo-teams-up-with-courage-the-cowardly-dog-in-new-trailer-for-straight-outta-nowhere/ Sun, 27 Jun 2021 20:31:50 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=60250 Courage the Cowardly Dog was one of the biggest shows in Cartoon Network back in the early 2000s, and now Courage is geared for a comeback with the original cowardly dog, Scooby-Doo.

WB has just dropped this new trailer for Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog. Watch this:

Here’s the official description:

An original animated feature so exciting it’s scratching at the door! Comedy is unleashed when Scooby-Doo, your favorite mystery-solving mutt, teams up for the first time with Courage the Cowardly Dog. The canine colleagues sniff out a strange object in the middle of Nowhere, Kansas, the backwoods hometown of Courage and his owners, Eustace and Muriel Bagge. Soon, the mysterious discovery puts them on the trail of a giant cicada monster and her wacky winged warriors. Fred, Velma, Daphne and Shaggy know that this job is too big for a flyswatter. They’ll need the help of the doggy duo to piece together the puzzle. Can Scooby and Courage overcome their jitters and defeat the insect army before the whole world bugs out? Try not to get scared. We double-dog dare you!

While the two shows are incredibly different when it comes to style and tone, it looks like WB has found some kind of melding of the two with this film. While Mystery Inc. still looks close to the original cartoon, they fit right in the world of Courage; and all the other monsters and side characters look like they followed the aesthetic of Cowardly Dog.

Straight Outta Nowhere: Scooby-Doo Meets Courage the Cowardly Dog is set to come out sometime this year on digital and DVD.
