Now they’re set to release The Bad Guys 2 next year, and we have the first trailer for the movie featuring a new animal group of femme fatales. Check this out:

Here’s the synopsis for the sequel:

In the new action-packed chapter from DreamWorks Animation’s acclaimed comedy smash about a crackerjack crew of animal outlaws, our now-reformed Bad Guys are trying (very, very hard) to be good, but instead find themselves hijacked into a high-stakes, globe-trotting heist, masterminded by a new team of criminals they never saw coming: The Bad Girls.

Original cast members from the first movie Sam Rockwell, Marc Maron, Craig Robinson, Awkwafina, and Anthony Ramos are set to reprise their roles as the Bad Guys; and the crew of Bad Girls is voiced by Danielle Brooks Maria Bakalova, and Natasha Lyonne.

The movie is even bringing back Zazie Beetz for Governor Foxington and Alex Borstein for Misty Luggins.

Besides Shrek, Kung Fu Panda, and How to Train Your Dragon, DreamWorks has been working hard to find a new IP that can manage to stick, and The Bad Guys somehow worked pretty great. The animation is solid, and the movie had a lot of heart. Let’s just hope the sequel manages to deliver as well.

Catch The Bad Guys 2 when it comes to cinemas on Aug. 1, 2025.

Shrek, Hiccup, and More Race for Supremacy in First Look at DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing https://www.geekfeed.com/first-look-at-dreamworks-all-star-kart-racing/ Sun, 05 Nov 2023 08:17:37 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=79452 Disney may be dominating the animated movie landscape, but DreamWorks has a bunch of their own beloved animated properties from Shrek to Trolls; and just like Disney, they’ve decided to take their beloved IP and mash them all into a kart racing game.

Here’s the first look at gameplay for DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing:

An all-star cast of some of your favorite DreamWorks characters brings the fun and hilarity to high-speed kart racing action like never before! Race on 20 different DreamWorks-themed tracks, including Shrek’s Swamp, New York City Zoo from Madagascar, Isle of Berk, and more! 20 of the most iconic DreamWorks characters: Shrek, Po, Tigress, Puss in Boots, Hiccup, Astrid, Boss Baby, and other top favorites all come together in a kart racing experience like no other.

If an IP didn’t go the kart-racing route—like Disney with Disney Speedstorm—they usually go for a Smash Bros. clone like Nickelodeon did with their All-Star Brawler or WB with Multiversus. I guess you really can’t fault DreamWorks for trying to mine something out of their valuable IP; it may take a while to develop a full movie or a solo game, but with kart racing clones they can probably entice multiple fandoms to check out the game with several characters involved. Plus, they can save on the pre-development as kart racers and Smash clones already have specific formulas on how they work with just a few tweaks expected here and there.

We don’t know how DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing will last over time, but it should keep Shrek and How to Train Your Dragon fans interested as they wait for the next movies to come down the line in the next few years.

DreamWorks All-Star Kart Racing is set to launch on Nov. 3.

Mr. Piranha has some Serious Pipes in Clip from The Bad Guys https://www.geekfeed.com/mr-piranha-has-some-serious-pipes-in-clip-from-the-bad-guys/ Tue, 03 May 2022 08:36:35 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65075 It may not be a Disney film, but Dreamworks Bad Guys has managed to keep a great run at the box office, managing to still be number one last weekend. Just in, we have a new clip from the movie that has the characters in on a heist and Mr. Piranha showing off some impressive pipes.

Watch The Bad Guys clip down here:

The scene has the Bad Guys trying to pull off a heist, despite publicly trying to turn a new leaf. I have to say, I was first curious as to why Anthony Ramos was cast alongside comedians, but as it turns out, his character is supposed to belt out one impressive musical number.

Not to mention, they actually have Mr. Wolf dancing in the way that actor Sam Rockwell usually does in his movies. Even in animation they found a way to have him show off some moves.

We don’t know how long The Bad Guys’ good run is going to last, but a lot of animation fans definitely think the praise is well deserved. Who knows, maybe we can get the sequel announcement soon.

After a lifetime of legendary heists, notorious criminals Mr. Wolf, Mr. Snake, Mr. Piranha, Mr. Shark and Ms. Tarantula are finally caught. To avoid a prison sentence, the animal outlaws must pull off their most challenging con yet — becoming model citizens. Under the tutelage of their mentor, Professor Marmalade, the dubious gang sets out to fool the world that they’re turning good.

Dreamworks’ The Bad Guys is now showing in theaters.

Watch the First 6 Minutes of The Bad Guys https://www.geekfeed.com/watch-the-first-6-minutes-of-the-bad-guys/ Tue, 26 Apr 2022 16:58:37 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=64993 Netflix may be killing their animation department, but an animated movie managed to be number one at the weekend box office. Dreamworks’ The Bad Guys managed to beat out The Northman and The Unbearable Weight of Massive Talent, and you can watch the first six minutes of the movie now online.

Watch The Bad Guys footage down here:

The scene essentially sets up everyone in the Wolf’s crew as well as their jobs. Snake is a safecracker, Tarantula is a hacker, Shark is a master of disguise, and Piranha is the muscle. I guess it’s safe to assume that Wolf is the one who plans all of the heists for the group.

I have to say, while Disney pretty much set the furry world ablaze with Zootopia, The Bad Guys has a very unique visual style that’s been apparent in recent films like The Mitchells vs. The Machines and Arcane—in which they blend 2D and 3D animation to make a film that looks like a moving painting.

So far, the film has been getting great reviews, and it should be a nice, kid-friendly film to bring your kids who can’t watch Unbearable Weight or Northman.
