Sam Raimi – Geekfeed https://www.geekfeed.com Entertainment News, Celebrities and Fandoms Tue, 14 May 2024 16:23:02 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://www.geekfeed.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/cropped-Geekfeed-Favicon-White-32x32.png Sam Raimi – Geekfeed https://www.geekfeed.com 32 32 Spider-Man Director Jon Watts Gives Advice for Next to Helm Spider-Man 4 https://www.geekfeed.com/jon-watts-gives-advice-for-spider-man-4/ Tue, 14 May 2024 16:23:02 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=82395 Jon Watts has delivered us the Spider-Man “Home” trilogy for Marvel, and with the fourth film underway, it’s been revealed that Watts will be stepping aside to have someone else take the helm.

With everyone wondering who’s going to tackle Peter Parker’s story next, Watts does have some advice for the next director. Talking to Collider, Watts says that it was a fruitless endeavor to try and have Spider-Man do practical swinging:

“I have a very practical bit of Spider-Man advice, and I think every Spider-Man director goes through it. It doesn’t look good when someone is just swinging on a rope. You think you’re gonna go in there, you’re like, ‘we’re gonna do it all practical. We’re gonna get a stuntman. We’re gonna be swinging around.’ It’s boring. It looks dumb. It looks like a monkey swinging on a vine when you put someone on just a rope. Don’t waste your time. That’s my advice to the next Spider-Man director.”

Interestingly enough, The Amazing Spider-Man movie from Marc Webb did try to set itself apart from the Raimi films by having the first practical swinging scene in a Spidey film; and while I do think that the scene looks pretty great, it barely captures just how dynamic Spider-Man’s movements can get when compared to the comics or any other medium.

I just hope that the next director gives us more of the practical suit onscreen. Ever since Spider-Man debuted in the MCU, he’s always looked like he was completely CG compared to the other characters. Hopefully the new director will be able to let Holland look like he’s actually wearing a suit rather than just have his head on a CG body.

No release date has been set for the next Spider-Man movie starring Tom Holland, but fans are hoping for a 2026 release.

Scott Derrickson said His Doctor Strange 2 would have been a ‘Genuine Horror Film’ https://www.geekfeed.com/doctor-strange-2-would-have-been-a-horror-film/ Thu, 05 Oct 2023 10:27:08 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=79034 It’s no mystery that Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness was considered divisive by fans, but before Sam Raimi jumped onboard, original Strange director Scott Derrickson was attached to the helm.

In a new interview with The Playlist, Derrickson talks about him leaving the project, and what went wrong behind the scenes that got him to exit. Before Derrickson left, there were rumors going around that the sequel was going to be more of a horror movie, to which he confirms the sequel would have been an “extreme departure from the first film,” and, “a genuine horror film of sorts.”

We don’t know exactly where Derrickson and Marvel started to form a rift, but Derrickson had already seen that the project he was setting out to do was different from what the studio had in mind. He says:

“All I can say is that what we said publicly is exactly the truth… We had real creative differences. You know, the movie I wanted to make and how I wanted to make it was different than–it was just increasingly obvious that we were pulling against each other. And that’s how you make a really bad movie, I think. When the producer or the studio and the filmmaker are making different movies, you end up with a monstrosity and, you know, that’s why I had to bounce.”

Though it definitely is a shame that Derrickson wasn’t able to make the movie he wanted, there are a lot of fans who love how Multiverse of Madness completely embraces Raimi’s style of storytelling. Admittedly, it did have some cameos that felt a tad forced, but everything involving the Scarlet Witch is pure Raimi-level horror.

For now, Derrickson says there’s no ‘bad blood’ between him and the studio, and he even went to the premiere. Perhaps he can return for the next Strange movie, but at this point, it looks like Marvel already knows what they want and it’s only a matter of hiring a director who’s willing to have their name slapped into the credits.

No release date has been announced for the next Doctor Strange movie, but it is expected to release before Avengers: Secret Wars which comes out 2026.

Ex-Gwen Stacy Bryce Dallas Howard Gives Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse Her Seal of Approval https://www.geekfeed.com/howard-gives-across-the-spider-verse-approval/ Tue, 06 Jun 2023 16:03:30 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=77159 Before she was running from dinosaurs or directing episodes of The Mandalorian, Bryce Dallas Howard was best known for playing Gwen Stacy in 2007’s Spider-Man 3. With the Gwen character being a main player in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse, Howard went online to gush about how much she loved the movie.

Here’s her post:

For context, here’s a scene from when Howard was playing Stacy from 16 years ago:

Before Spider-Gwen was created back in 2014, Gwen Stacy was notoriously Peter Parker’s dead girlfriend who was killed by Green Goblin in the comics. Gwen had remained a famously dead character for decades, and it wasn’t until the Edge of the Spider-Verse comic where Jason Latour and Robbi Rodriguez switched Peter Parker out with her and created one of the most celebrated female superheroes today.

As far as live-action appearances go, Gwen has just been a love interest for Spider-Man, but maybe the popularity of the Spider-Verse movies could bring a live-action Spider-Gwen to the spotlight. I’d say let Hailee Steinfeld play her again, but seeing that she’s already Kate Bishop in the MCU, I wouldn’t mind if they cast someone else younger.

Then again, the animated Gwen is already a pretty great take on the character, and after seeing Spider-Verse 2, it’s going to be a real challenge to pull of Gwen and Miles in live-action the way they’re portrayed in the film.

For now, catch Gwen in Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse now showing in theaters.

65: Adam Driver Returns to Sci-Fi in Latest Trailer https://www.geekfeed.com/65-adam-driver-returns-to-sci-fi-in-new-trailer/ Sun, 29 Jan 2023 16:21:56 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=73112 After Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker, it looked like Adam Driver was just focusing on starring in artsy films like Marriage Story and Annette, but Sony has managed to nab him for a dinosaur action film with 65.

The film is set to come out this March, and we have a new trailer featuring Driver from the future running around 65 million years in the past. Check it out:

Here’s the synopsis:

After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.

It really feels like the trailer managed to spoil the largest twist in the film in that Driver is actually stranded on Earth, but I guess they needed something more interesting to draw audiences in besides dinosaurs and Kylo Ren. If you ask me, there was probably a more interesting way to market the movie, but since it’s an actual film, I can imagine Sony wants that mass appeal Avatar money.

With Sam Raimi onboard with the writers from A Quiet Place behind the script, I think 65 could make for one interesting ride. Looking at the scene where there are meteors falling behind Driver, you’d think that this film will have him unwittingly causing the dinosaur apocalypse.

Catch 65 when it comes out in theaters on March 17.

Marvel Allegedly Wants Scott Derrickson Back for Doctor Strange 3 https://www.geekfeed.com/marvel-allegedly-wants-scott-derrickson-back/ Thu, 12 Jan 2023 16:43:56 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=72879 Sam Raimi may have taken over for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness but there hasn’t been any word of him taking on the next film starring Stephen Strange. What’s interesting is, Marvel may want a familiar face at the helm that isn’t Raimi.

In a report from insider @GGeneralHolt8 (via The Direct), Marvel is said to be fast-tracking the release of Doctor Strange 3, and they want the director of the first Doctor Strange, Scott Derrickson, to come back. Here’s the post:

Of course, we should take this with a grain of salt, but with Strange being the most powerful Avenger existing in the MCU now—with the most expansive knowledge of how reality works—it would make sense for him to have one more outing to really set up the threat that will be Kang in Avengers: The Kang Dynasty.

Going back to Derrickson though, he was supposed to direct the Doctor Strange 2, but creative differences have led Sam Raimi to take over with Derrickson attached as producer.  We don’t know what Derrickson wanted to do, but word was going around that he wanted to go all-out horror with the Nightmare Dimension. I guess Marvel wanted to do too much setting up with the Illuminati and the Multiverse, and that’s how we got Multiverse of Madness—but then again, that’s just my guess.

If anything, I think having Derrickson come back would be great. Though I love Raimi’s original style, I think the first Strange movie was still more visually striking. If they’re not bringing Derrickson back though, I would love for the Daniels of Everything Everywhere All at Once to take on a surreal property like Doctor Strange; but Marvel better let them go as crazy as they want.

For now, no release date has been set for Doctor Strange 3.

Meet the Mother of Horrors in New Trailer for Evil Dead Rise https://www.geekfeed.com/evil-dead-rise-gets-a-brand-new-trailer/ Sat, 07 Jan 2023 10:33:53 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=72800 The Evil Dead franchise tried to reboot back in 2013 to no avail, but WB is ready to try again this April with Evil Dead Rise. Just in, we have a new trailer for the film, and it promises all the signature horrors from the franchise like demon possession and body horror.

Check this out:

While the Red Band trailer features all the signature violence, there’s also another less gory trailer that features some other moments that aren’t in the first preview:

Here’s the official description for the film:

Moving the action out of the woods and into the city, “Evil Dead Rise” tells a twisted tale of two estranged sisters, played by Sutherland and Sullivan, whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.

Though the 2013 movie didn’t manage to take off, the Evil Dead franchise has actually been alive and well, having spinoffs in TV and even its own video game. While the first movie has always been an all-out horror, I wonder if they plan to change the tone of the films moving forward should Evil Dead Rise manage to be a success—just like what Sam Raimi did with his original trilogy.

I wonder what the modern version of Army of Darkness look like—if they plan to make it after this film, that is.

Catch Evil Dead Rise when it comes to cinemas on April 20.

Past Meets Future in Trailer for 65 Starring Adam Driver https://www.geekfeed.com/past-meets-future-in-trailer-for-65/ Mon, 19 Dec 2022 08:22:17 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=72510 Adam Driver may have put his Star Wars days behind him, with him taking on more dramatic roles with movies like Annette and Marriage Story, but it looks like he’s ready to come back to the world of science-fiction with the upcoming film called 65.

Check out the official trailer here:

Here’s the official description:

After a catastrophic crash on an unknown planet, pilot Mills (Adam Driver) quickly discovers he’s actually stranded on Earth…65 million years ago. Now, with only one chance at rescue, Mills and the only other survivor, Koa (Ariana Greenblatt), must make their way across an unknown terrain riddled with dangerous prehistoric creatures in an epic fight to survive.

The movie comes from writer/directors Scott Beck and Bryan Woods who were also the same creative behind A Quiet Place. Of course, it’s also worth noting that the movie is produced by horror/comic book movie icon Sam Raimi.

I’ll admit, the synopsis kind of spoils the big twist that Adam Driver travelled to prehistoric Earth, but I guess there’s more to the story than that if they want to immediately let the audience know about the Planet of the Apes-esque reveal.

Who knows, maybe it was marketing’s idea to reveal this was earth 65 million years ago. If it were me, I think they would have sold the film just fine with Adam Driver and the promise of dinosaurs going up against sci-fi weapons.

Catch 65 when it comes to theaters March 10, 2023.

Fans are Freaking Out Over Brutal Deleted Fight Scene Featuring Scarlet Witch https://www.geekfeed.com/brutal-deleted-fight-scene-with-scarlet-witch/ Sun, 25 Sep 2022 12:06:43 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=71212 It was already pretty interesting how Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness had so many touches of Sam Raimi’s signature style in the movie, but the film could have turned out more violent.

Thanks to @LizzieContent on Twitter, we have a look at a deleted stunt sequence from the film featuring Scarlet Witch, and it has her brutally taking out a bunch of wizards on Kamar-Taj. Watch this:

While the sequence does start out pretty plain for an MCU fight scene, the ante gets upped when Wanda forces a soldier to slice their own throat, and it ends with her just crushing someone into nothing.

We don’t know why the scene was cut from the film, but I guess this would have set the tone of where Wanda was mentally in the film, and it would have made her a pretty irredeemable character in the MCU moving forward.

As much as I love how Raimi-esque the scene feels, I think it’s ultimately better that we have the door open for a Wanda Maximoff return, especially since we don’t really get to see her body when she brings the Dark-Hold tower down. Who knows, maybe we could just focus on a Wanda variant moving forward, but I’m pretty attached to the Wanda we’ve been following since Avengers: Age of Ultron.

We don’t know what Marvel plans to do with Scarlet Witch moving forward, but the next entry, Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, comes to theaters Nov. 11.

George R.R. Martin Says Doctor Strange 2 Reawakened His Marvel Fandom https://www.geekfeed.com/grr-martin-marvel-love-reawakened-by-dr-strange/ Fri, 08 Jul 2022 16:29:49 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=69940 For someone under a lot of pressure to finish Winds of Winter, George R.R. Martin sure has a lot of time to update on his blog. Just recently, the celebrity author has written his praises for Sam Raimi’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness which just hit Disney+.

Martin wrote on his blog:

“Sam Raimi has always been one of my favorite directors.   And Dr. Strange has always been one of my favorite Marvel characters.   And this version of Dr. Strange, slipping through portals into surreal dimensions full of floaty things and alternate realities, was the Doctor I fell in love with, way way way back when world was young (and so was I).   They even gave us CLEA!   I love Clea!”

Martin also goes on to write about his experience meeting Steve Ditko at the first-ever comic-con, and how he geeked out about Doctor Strange:

“Seeing this movie brought back a cherished memory, of the day I attended the world’s first comicon, in 1964 in Greenwich Village.  I was fifteen years old.   The whole con was held in one small room in some sort of union hall, with hucksters selling old comics from cardboard boxes along one wall, and the speakers at a podium in the front.   Fabulous Flo Steinberg turned up.. and so did Steve Ditko.   It might well have been the only comicon he ever attended… but I got to talk to him, and tell him how much I loved his art.   Especially on Dr. Strange.   Ditko was reserved, maybe a bit shy, but genial enough.   He told me that Dr. Strange was his favorite as well.   Yes, even more than Spider-Man.”

Martin also goes on to say that the film ‘woke the sleeping Marvel fanboy in me’, which is great since there was a lot of criticism thrown at the film for hardcore Marvel stans.

Admittedly, I was one of the fans who didn’t think they leaned on the Multiverse concept hard enough, but the movie does feel very much like a Raimi film which I thought was the most enjoyable part of the experience.

We don’t know when we’ll see Doctor Strange next, but I am hoping we get a redemption arc for Scarlet Witch. Catch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now available on Disney+.

Leaked Doctor Strange 2 Plot Reveals Original Plan for Mordo https://www.geekfeed.com/leaked-doctor-strange-2-plot-reveals-original-plan-for-mordo/ Thu, 12 May 2022 10:56:20 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=65202 [SPOILERS FOR DOCTOR STRANGE IN THE MULTIVERSE OF MADNESS]

The first Doctor Strange film teased that Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) was on a mission to destroy all sorcerers, but we didn’t get to see this version of him appear in the sequel. As it turns out, he would have been the first to discover Scarlet Witch.

In a resurfaced leak of the plot (via ComicBookMovie), it was revealed that we would follow 616 Mordo on the hunt for the Scarlet Witch—and Wanda beheads him. We don’t know exactly why he was removed from the film, but some speculate that it was better that Strange would be the one to discover that Wanda was evil.

For the most part, the leak has everything right, but there are some things that were probably changed in the reshoots. Besides the fate of Mordo, it’s revealed that Thor’s brother Balder would have been a member of the Illuminati; it also seems that Mister Fantastic and Black Bolt were last-minute additions to the film.

You can read the entire breakdown here.

Going back to Mordo though, it was nice how they managed to fit him into the story, but I am eager to come back to Strange’s original version of Mordo. After all, he is Strange’s archenemy in the comics, so it would be great if he could come back as the main antagonist in a future film.

For now, you can catch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness now available in theaters.

Doctor Strange 2 Synopsis Promises a Multiversal Journey https://www.geekfeed.com/doctor-strange-2-synopsis-promises-a-multiversal-journey/ Tue, 01 Feb 2022 05:16:55 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63717 Doctor Strange may have taken over the mentor role in Spider-Man: No Way Home, but he’s set to have his own adventure with Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. Just in, we have a new synopsis for the film, and it promises that rather than bringing people in from the Multiverse, it’s Strange that’s going to do the travelling.

This comes from ComicBookMovie:

“In Marvel Studios’ Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness, the MCU unlocks the Multiverse and pushes its boundaries further than ever before… Journey into the unknown with Doctor Strange, who, with the help of mystical allies both old and new, traverses the mind-bending and dangerous alternate realities of the Multiverse to confront a mysterious new adversary.”

We don’t know exactly who the villain will be in the this movie, but it’s possible that we could be getting that “Evil Doctor Strange” from the first teaser. Baron Mordo (Chiwetel Ejiofor) is also expected to be the antagonist, but I have a feeling they’re going the unfamiliar route and have him team up with Strange to fight, well, “Evil Strange”.

Rumors have been going around that the cameos in this movie will span way more than just the Spider-Man movies, but we’ll just have to wait and see what happens when the film hits. Though I would love to see Ben Affleck reprise Daredevil and Patrick Stewart come back as Professor X, it all sounds too good to be true—then again, people have said the same thing about Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the film definitely delivered.

Catch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness when it hits theaters on May 6.

Sam Raimi Reacts to Spider-Man: No Way Home https://www.geekfeed.com/sam-raimi-reacts-to-spider-man-no-way-home/ Wed, 26 Jan 2022 16:09:21 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63652 Sam Raimi may be working on the Doctor Strange sequel now, but he’ll forever be known as the man behind the original Spider-Man films that launched the modern comic book movie genre. With Spider-Man: No Way Home bringing back a lot of characters from the Raimi trilogy, fans beg the question, “what did he think of the movie?”

Talking to Variety, Raimi explained:

“It was so much fun… I love ‘No Way Home’ and the audience I was with went crazy. It was delightful to watch Alfred [Molina] play his role, and Willem Dafoe, just seeing these guys take it to the next level. And Tobey [Maguire] was awesome as always. The best word I can say is it was refreshing for me.”

Originally, Raimi had plans for a fourth Spider-Man movie, but Sony had opted to just reboot the franchise with The Amazing Spider-Man. With the release of No Way Home though, a lot of fans are hoping to revisit past Spider-Men and maybe give them the chance to have definitive conclusions to their characters.

This also hasn’t been confirmed, but a rumor is going around that Maguire will make one more MCU cameo in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness—along with several other actors from separate Marvel franchises. This is just hearsay for now, but after what No Way Home was able to pull off, who knows what else Marvel can do moving forward?

Catch Spider-Man: No Way Home now in theaters. Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness comes out May 6.

Inhumans will Allegedly be Re-Introduced in Doctor Strange 2 https://www.geekfeed.com/inhumans-will-allegedly-be-re-introduced-in-doctor-strange-2/ Wed, 29 Dec 2021 07:34:27 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63196 Marvel had tried and failed to launch an Inhumans franchise back in 2017, but with the ever-growing MCU, it’s only a matter of time before Black Bolt and his royal family are brought back into the main timeline. What’s interesting is, the fan favorite character could be making his re-debut in the Doctor Strange sequel.

As per FandomWire, Black Bolt will be making an appearance as a member of the Illuminati in Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. No news has been dropped on whether Anson Mount will reprise the role, but seeing as that property was poorly received, it’s probably best that Marvel start from the ground up.

The merger with 20th Century Studios has given Marvel the chance to play with all of its original properties again with the likes of the X-Men and Fantastic Four being allowed to join the MCU, but it does pose the risk of overcrowding the franchise. We all want the X-Men to be back, but then how about the Inhumans? Does Marvel even plan on expanding on the Eternals?

If anything, Disney+ has offered the option for more obscure adaptations with minimal risk, and if they prove successful, heroes can then get the greenlight to appear in the theatrically released films. While I like taking risks on characters, I wouldn’t blame Marvel or Disney to try playing it as safe as they possibly could.

We don’t have any official confirmation on the Illuminati appearing, but you can catch Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness when it hits theaters on May 6, 2022.

New Spider-Man: No Way Home Poster Gives First Look at Green Goblin https://www.geekfeed.com/new-spider-man-no-way-home-poster-gives-first-look-at-green-goblin/ Tue, 09 Nov 2021 09:25:50 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62318 Spider-Man: No Way Home is being hyped up to be the biggest Spidey film ever, and besides the return of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, we also got a teaser of a returning Green Goblin. While we don’t have a look at Norman Osborn in a teaser, we do get a small look at him in the new poster for No Way Home.

Check out Green Goblin here:

Admittedly, the look at Green Goblin isn’t that clear, but it seems that he’s still keeping the helmet from the original Raimi film. The Goblin Glider also looks smaller, and is a different shape than the one we’ve seen before.

There is some alleged leaked looks at Goblin’s outfit for No Way Home, but until we get some official confirmation, we should just take this as a rumor. That being said, it does look like an accurate, modern iteration for the current MCU:

While Ock and Goblin may be the most prominent villain on the poster, some fans are thinking that other elements in the image are hints at who else could be appearing in the film. The lightning is expected to be Jamie Foxx’s Electro, and it’s likely the dusty clouds are a hint at Sandman (possibly played by Thomas Haden Church).

With the film coming out next month, fans are waiting for one final trailer to get them excited for the release. Hopefully Sony doesn’t manage to drop any huge spoilers when the time comes.

New Look at Doc Ock in Spider-Man: No Way Home https://www.geekfeed.com/new-look-at-doc-ock-in-spider-man-no-way-home/ Wed, 03 Nov 2021 15:41:00 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62203 Peter Parker is getting into some multiverse hijinks in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, and fans collectively lost their shit when Alfred Molina appeared as Doctor Otto Octavius. While we only got a short look at him in the trailer, Empire has dropped some new images of the classic iteration of the villain facing off against the MCU Spider-Man.

Check these out:

Besides that photo, we also have a Spider-Man-less photo of Ock with his CG tentacles:

While at first glance they look like the same ones we see in Spider-Man 2, some fans have pointed out that there is now a red color scheme to them—very similar to the color scheme of Iron Man. It’s possible that this is just a detail we missed from Ock’s original appearance, but that turtle neck could be a hint that this isn’t the Octavius we met in Spidey 2, but a different version. What if it’s the Octavius that actually succeeded in his experiment? What if the same could go for this film’s version of the Green Goblin and Electro?

A lot of fans were hoping for a big No Way Home trailer drop this week, but it looks like Sony won’t be giving us any goods. With December almost here, I think that we could have a preview drop sometime in the middle of November. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long, and hopefully we get to see some more villains this time around.

Ex-Venom Topher Grace On Whether He’s in Spider-Man: No Way Home https://www.geekfeed.com/ex-venom-topher-grace-on-whether-hes-in-spider-man-no-way-home/ Tue, 21 Sep 2021 15:57:07 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=61595 While a lot of people are excited about Tobey Maguire’s alleged return as Peter Parker in Spider-Man: No Way Home, some are wondering which other characters are going to be coming back for this multiverse mash-up. We know Alfred Molina is coming back as Doc Ock with rumors going around for Jamie Foxx (Electro) and Willem Dafoe (Green Goblin), but what about Topher Grace’s Venom?

When asked by a fan if he would be in Spider-Man: No Way Home, Grace replied with a hilarious breakdown of the plot. Read it here:

https://twitter.com/CultureCrave/status/1440061071083982850

With actors involved in the movie likely having strict NDAs, I think Grace’s jab at the plot is pretty much confirmation that he won’t be in the film. That being said, I would love to see some kind of return of his Eddie Brock. I’ll admit, I’m not that large of a fan of his Venom, but his Brock is a fun foil to Maguire’s Peter Parker.

With the movie already sounding as crowded as it is, there’s probably no room for Grace to make a significant comeback. I won’t say no to a small cameo or even an after-credits scene. You think Tom Hardy’s Venom would be up for a multiverse storyline?

Spider-Man’s identity is revealed to everyone, and he can no longer separate his normal life from his superhero life. When he asks Doctor Strange for help, it forces him to discover what it means to be him.

Catch Spider-Man: No Way Home when it swings into theaters on Dec. 17. Venom: Let There be Carnage hits theaters on Oct. 1.

Next Doctor Strange Villain Said to be Shuma-Gorath https://www.geekfeed.com/next-doctor-strange-villain-said-to-be-shuma-gorath/ Fri, 21 May 2021 05:47:13 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=59587 Though we haven’t had any official reveals for Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness yet, rumors have been going around that the film will have Strange and the Scarlet Witch going up against Nightmare. A new rumor has come out though, that Strange is going to be battling a villain that is a lot weirder.

As per Illuminerdi, the Doctor Strange sequel will be bringing in the one-eyed tentacle monster Shuma-Gorath. What’s more, it’s said that Shuma-Gorath will be directly tied to the upcoming Young Avenger America Chavez. The film is said to have Shuma-Gorath going after America in order to use her powers to control the multiverse.

Besides being a prominent character in the early Marvel vs. Capcom games, Shuma-Gorath was a Doctor Strange villain that was said to have ruled the prehistoric world until being banished to another dimension. He’s described as an ‘ancient force of chaos’ and is capable of shapeshifting, teleportation, levitation, and all other kids of magic.

Of course, these are just rumors for now, but this was a character that definitely felt like a more interesting choice compared to Mephisto or Nightmare. With Baron Mordo expected to make a return as well, fans can’t help but be concerned that the Doctor Strange sequel is getting too crowded. Hopefully it won’t come to that, and let’s also just hope that director Sam Raimi could find a way to make Shuma-Gorath disntinct from another tentacle villain coming to The Suicide Squad, Starro the Conquerer.

Catch Doctor Strange and the Multiverse of Madness when it comes out on March 23, 2022.
