According to Vanity Fair, the story is said to take place in only one location with a fixed camera angle that will not move or zoom in. Instead, we’re going to get glimpses of things from different eras and where they were in the actual space that the movie is set in.

The movie is actually an adaptation of a 2014 graphic novel from Richard McGuire, and it should give fans an idea of what to expect when it comes to the movie’s storytelling technique. You can check it out here.

The story of here is said to take place around the course of a 100 years, and though the living room is the main setting for the film, we’ll be able to see the space even before a house was built in it, and when Native American tribes would occupy the space. The movie is said to tell the story of multiple families who had occupied the space, but one of the main arcs will be that of Richard (Hanks) and Margaret (Wright) who will have lived their whole lives in the home.

Other members of the cast include Paul Bettany, Kelly Reilly, Michelle Dockery, Ophelia Lovibond, and Gwilym Lee.

Admittedly, Zemeckis has been criticized for putting too much focus on technical milestones as compared to actually telling a story, but it does seem like Here has a very interesting angle when it comes to the narrative it wants to sell.

Sure, there are some doubts when it comes to the use of AI and de-aging actors, but I think that’s all a necessary part in pulling off the film’s visual language. Then again, I’m just speculating; until we get the first trailer, all we can do is guess.

Catch Here when it releases in theatres on Nov. 15.
