One character that’s being hyped up for the film is the Devourer of Worlds Galactus, and while we don’t have a first look at him yet, some fans think that this merch shared by actor Ralph Ineson could be a hint. Check this out:

While some people think this could be the first look at Galactus from the film, Ineson has confirmed that it’s just old Marvel merch depicting the classic Galactus from the comics. He follows up the post:

Even though it’s not official merch, a lot of fans are convinced that First Steps is going to be delivering a comic-accurate version of Galactus—complete with giant helmet. After all, Celestials have already been introduced in the universe since the first Guardians of the Galaxy, and a character like Galactus won’t be so hard to introduce this time around.

The last big screen interpretation of Galactus was not one that was beloved by fans. Back when Fox was still running the franchise, Galactus had appeared as the main antagonist of Fantastic Four: Rise of the Silver Surfer. While the Surfer did look comic-accurate, Galactus was redesigned to just be a giant alien cloud.

With comic-accuracy becoming the norm these days with the MCU, fans are hoping that Ineson’s Galactus will be the giant figure that’s tormented the Marvel Universe for decades. Fingers crossed we get an official first look soon.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is now set to release in theatres on July 25, 2025.

The Fantastic Four: New Details on Galactus and Odd Connection to America Chavez https://www.geekfeed.com/the-fantastic-four-new-details-on-galactus/ Tue, 06 Aug 2024 10:47:35 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=83618 After years of the Fantastic Four taking on Doctor Doom, the MCU is going another direction and making Galactus their first big bad.

While we’ve already been introduced to celestials in this universe, this Galactus apparently has a very unique trait—one that he shares with Doctor Strange’s America Chavez.

According to The Cosmic Circus, Galactus is the only version of himself in the multiverse—meaning he doesn’t have any variants, pretty much like America. The source says, “Galactus is going to be the only individual from—in the entire multiverse. This is the one. There is no Galactus variant. This is him. Period.”

It’s unclear how that story element is going to affect how Galactus is treated within the context of the movie, but I imagine that if there’s one Galactus, that means there isn’t an alternate Galactus that the Four could study and figure out how to defeat. Also, if a Galactus comes to the 616 timeline, that means it’s going to be the same one that the Four have faced before.

Seeing how massive Celestials can be in the MCU, it’s going to be interesting to watch just how the Fantastic Four will be facing this threat. People are currently expecting them to lose their universe in order to bring them into the main timeline, but this just raises the stakes on how important it is for them to defeat the Devourer of Worlds.

The Fantastic Four: First Steps is set to release in theatres on July 25, 2025.

Marvel Drops New Poster for The Fantastic Four on 4-4 https://www.geekfeed.com/marvel-drops-new-poster-for-the-fantastic-four/ Mon, 08 Apr 2024 10:04:39 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=81809 The Avengers may be the biggest team-up for the MCU, but the studio is also gearing up for the coming of Marvel’s first family in the form of The Fantastic Four.

Since it is April 4 a.k.a. 4-4, Marvel Studios has dropped a new poster featuring Joseph Quinn’s Human Torch, but there’s even more to it:

Besides the classic Torch look with the ‘4’ on his chest, fans have also noticed that there is a different kind of futuristic city in the background—which kind of confirms that the movie is going to be taking place in an alternate reality to the MCU.

If you also look at the link on the post,  it will send you on a tiny Easter Egg hunt. You may as well click on it now if you don’t want the game to be spoiled, but if you don’t have the time, the final destination of the game will bring you to a page for the Future Foundation an alternate rebranding of the Fantastic Four, and Marvel has given access to fans for the main comics that will inspire the upcoming film. They include:

Fantastic Four #1 – The first appearance of the Fantastic Four

Fantastic Four #48 , #49, and #50 – The coming of the Silver Surfer and the threat of Galactus

Fantastic Four: Life Story – A look back at the Fantastic Four over the years

A lot of these stories take place in the 60s, so we should get a good idea of what kind of tone we can expect from the upcoming movie. With the plot taking place in an alternate universe, a lot of fans are convinced that we’re definitely going to see Galactus eat the planet—so the F4 will know just how huge a threat he is when they get to the prime universe of the MCU.

Then again, that’s just speculation.

For now, The Fantastic Four is set to release in theatres on July 25, 2025.

Fantastic Four has Cast a Female Silver Surfer https://www.geekfeed.com/fantastic-four-has-cast-a-female-silver-surfer/ Sun, 07 Apr 2024 08:26:02 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=81792 MCU’s Fantastic Four is slowly coming together, and though we’ve had the announcement of the main cast for a while, everyone is still curious about who they’re going to be going up against.

Just in, Deadline has reported that Julia Garner (Ozark, Inventing Anna) is going to be starring as a female version of the Silver Surfer a.k.a. the Herald of Galactus.

The most popular iteration of the Silver Surfer is no doubt Norrin Radd who was played by Doug Jones in Rise of the Silver Surfer. This character though Shalla-Bal, is a variant of the Surfer from the comics. In the original continuity, Shalla-Bal was Radd’s first love, and he had made a deal with Galactus to find planets for him to eat, just so his planet would be spared.

We don’t know if the movie will eventually give us the Norrin Radd surfer, but there has been a rumor going around that this Fantastic Four would come from an alternate timeline. We don’t know how they’ll be fitting in the MCU yet, but with The Marvels already opening up the multiverse, we should expect Reed Richards and his family to also have something to do with experiments that have them jumping around the multiverse.

With the Surfer making an appearance in this movie though, everyone is expecting Galactus to be confirmed soon enough. We don’t know who could possibly play him, but I am up for the fancasting of Anya Taylor-Joy. I’d watch her snack on a planet like she ate that burger in The Menu.

The Fantastic Four is set to release in theatres on July 25, 2025.
