The movie is set to release in October, and we have a new trailer giving us a good look at the story. Check this out:

The official description reads:

Can you survive five nights?

The terrifying horror game phenomenon becomes a blood-chilling cinematic event, as Blumhouse— the producer of M3GAN, The Black Phone and The Invisible Man— brings Five Nights at Freddy’s to the big screen.

The film follows a troubled security guard as he begins working at Freddy Fazbear’s Pizza. While spending his first night on the job, he realizes the night shift at Freddy’s won’t be so easy to make it through.

The film basically checks all the boxes when it comes to the original FNAF game, with Hutcherson playing the role of unluckiest security guard of all time, but the trailer does reveal a new element to the story in that the main character Mike has to protect his kid sister from the rest of the murder-bots that are roaming around the abandoned restaurant.

With HBO’s The Last of Us having set a new standard for video game adaptations, a lot of fans wonder how the FNAF movie is going to fare. Then again, this is a franchise about murderous Chuck E. Cheese mascot ripoffs, so we shouldn’t expect things to get too intellectual.

What we should expect are scares, killer robots, and maybe a reference to a meme or two.

Five Nights at Freddy’s comes to cinemas and starts streaming on Peacock on Oct. 27.
