The film is set to release in theatres in July, and we have a new preview showcasing the star-studded cast led by Mia Goth. Check this out:

In 1980s Hollywood, adult film star and aspiring actress Maxine Minx finally gets her big break. However, as a mysterious killer stalks the starlets of Los Angeles, a trail of blood threatens to reveal her sinister past.

With the first two films covering Mia Goth’s character’s obsession with beauty and fame, we’re expecting all of it to come together with MaXXXine. Now it looks like Maxine has her chance to be a really big Hollywood star, and as far as the ‘obsessed artist’ genre goes, she will likely do whatever she can to get her there.

Though the films have started out with relatively unknown cast, MaXXXine has more or less tripled the star power with actors like Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Bobby Cannavale, Lily Collins, Halsey, Kevin Bacon, and Giancarlo Esposito.

The X franchise has been a cult hit for A24, and everyone has been having a ball watching Goth’s slow descent into madness throughout the first two films. We don’t know if Pearl will still have a presence in this third film, but we definitely know that she got to Maxine on a very deep level and we’re going to get to watch her unravel when she officially jumps into the industry.

Besides Mia Goth who is returning to play the part of Maxine, we also have new cast members including Giancarlo Esposito, Elizabeth Debicki, Michelle Monaghan, Kevin Bacon, Lily Collins, and Bobby Cannavale. A lot of fans are also excited to see Halsey take on a supporting actress role in live-action this time.

Just in case you’re not updated on the X timeline, the first movie had Maxine survive a classic horror setting against an aged woman named Pearl (who was also played by Goth). The sequel, Pearl, followed the story of the X antagonist and mirrored how she was also obsessed with her own beauty and wanted a life outside of her farm—which we know she never got.

Now with MaXXXine, we get to flash forward once again to see where Maxine is left after the events of X, and after knowing what we saw in Pearl, it’s possible that Maxine herself could also fall into the same murder-fuelled rabbit hole in her quest for fame.

The movies have been critical darlings so far, and everyone is hoping that MaXXXine will manage to stick the landing.

The first part of the final season of The Crown is set to come out on November 16 and the second part is set to premiere on December 14. The official description reads:

The sixth and final season of The Crown is coming. Inspired by real events, this fictional dramatisation tells the story of Queen Elizabeth II and the political and personal events that shaped her reign.

According to THR, the final season of the show is said to be covering events from 1997–2005; Part I will include the relationship of Princess Diana (Elizabeth Debicki) and Dodi Fayed (Khalid Abdalla) as well as the car crash that killed them both. Part II will cover the wedding of Prince Charles (Dominic West) and Camilla Parker Bowles (Olivia Williams).

While the series did start with Claire Foy and Olivia Colman playing the role of Elizabeth, The Crown will be finishing their run with Imelda Staunton playing the part of the British monarch. EP Suzanne Mackie says about Staunton:

“I am really, really proud of this final season. I think it’s some of our best work… Imelda is extraordinary as the queen, she really is. And I don’t want to spoil the very end, but it’s really beautiful and, I think, quite profound, and it feels like a culmination of a very long journey.”

Watch out for Part 1 of the final season of The Crown when it comes to Netflix on Nov. 16. The second part is set to premiere on Dec. 14.

As announced by Ryan Reynolds, Emma Corrin has been cast in an undisclosed role in Deadpool 3:

No details have been revealed about Corrin’s role in the film yet, but fans are already going into speculation mode. With the movie said to be dealing with alternate timelines, some think that Corrin could be playing a Deadpool variant in the form of Lady Deadpool, who runs the Deadpool Corps with several other variants of Deadpool.

One other fan spec is that she is playing the role of Gwen Poole a.k.a. Gwenpool, who is neither Gwen Stacy nor a Deadpool variant. In the comics, Gwen is a character from our ‘real world’ and finds herself transported to the Marvel Universe. Using her knowledge of all-things-Marvel, Gwen manages to lead her own superhero life, crossing over with several other characters like MODOK and even Deadpool himself.

I guess if Gwen did have a super power, it’s that she’s also able to break the fourth wall, but unlike Wade, she actually uses her power in a way to alter her reality. Her story can get ridiculously meta, but if there was a time to introduce her, I think the third DP movie would be perfect.

Then again, it’s all just speculation. With the movie set to come out later next year, it will probably be a while before we get a new update.
