While everyone is scrambling to find out who’s to blame for the recent WB Games closures, insider Jason Schreier told Kinda Funny Games Daily (via @Okami13_) that the devs were kind of put in an ‘impossible situation’. Here are the bullet points:
Details on the Wonder Woman cancellation and closure of Monolith Productions:
Wonder Woman was going to have a "Nemesis system in reverse" where you would talk to people and befriend them as allies. This was eventually scrapped when it was rebooted.
WW began production in… pic.twitter.com/EWQEZzh9MV
— KAMI (@Okami13_) February 27, 2025
As it turns out, the problem started when the game was rebooted back in 2023. The game had shifted from a Nemesis System-type game to a more traditional action-adventure title and Monolith’s leads had decided to leave the studio after WB refused to have them work on an original IP.
So this means that Monolith was trying to make Wonder Woman while at the same time trying to figure out their new leadership. Top that off with some poor returns from last year with MultiVersus and Suicide Squad, and WB decided that they should just axe the studio.
Funnily enough, Schreier does emphasize that WB Discovery president David Zaslav has nothing to do with this problem and it was more about the recently exited WB Games head David Haddad not really open to developing risky projects and focusing more on trend-chasing.
With Haddad out, it’s not clear where WB Games is headed, but fans are definitely hopeful whoever takes over will have much better insight when it comes to developing projects based on WB’s highly valuable IP.
]]>In a recent talk with Variety, Gunn confirmed that Pattinson is not expected to lead the next solo Batman project titled Brave and the Bold. We don’t know much about the movie yet, but Andy Muschietti (The Flash) is expected to direct, and the movie is said to be focusing on an older Batman having to deal with the fact that he has a son Damian who was raised by a league of assassins to be an efficient killer.
As for Battinson, The Batman Part II is still underway, and DC co-head Peter Safran has confirmed that they’re still waiting on a script from Reeves. He says Reeves has“yet to turn in a full script, but what we have read so far is incredibly encouraging.”
As for any possible follow-ups on The Penguin, it’s still up in the air. Safran continues, “We don’t know,” Safran said. “There are a lot of moving pieces — probably most important Colin [Farrell] himself.” “And 800 pounds of make-up,” Gunn added.
With Battinson’s Gotham set in a more grounded world, a lot of fans have expressed online that they thought it was best if he didn’t share a continuity with Superman or Green Lantern. Hopefully The Batman will continue the ‘Elseworlds’ branding for DC, and open up doors for more obscure characters and alternate versions of heroes to get their own movies.
The Batman Part II is expected to come to cinemas on Oct. 1, 2027.
]]>Ever since Gunn was announced, some fans have been pushing the narrative that Snyder was somehow usurped by the Guardians of the Galaxy director, and Gunn has decided to lay any rumors about bad blood with Snyder to rest by posting a photo with him. Check this out:
As for why Gunn shared the photo, he tells Variety, “We knew that people have this view that somehow we have been pitted against each other… It’s odd to have someone who you’re friendly with in real life be the guy that is positioned as your Lex Luthor, or I’m his Lex Luthor. It’s just such a weird dynamic that’s been created between factions online.”
There’s no statement from Snyder’s end, but he’s surely just as sick of the ‘Snyder cultists’ as Gunn is, with them spreading toxicity on every DC post and touting Snyder as some kind of DC messiah.
As someone who was actively rooting for Snyder and was even supporting the release of the Snyder Cut of Justice League, it was certainly a bummer that Snyder was officially fired and Gunn didn’t decide to just continue the timeline; it especially hurt after all that anticipation with Henry Cavill’s Superman returning in Black Adam.
Though it’s understandable that a ground-zero reboot would get rid of any canon inconsistencies, it just feels exhausting to have followed all of the DC films since Man of Steel only to go back to square one.
If anything, a lot of people have faith in Gunn. Who knows, maybe if Elseworlds is established, Snyder (and Suicide Squad director David Ayer) can have another stab at some DC films even if they’re out of the main DC Studios timeline.
For now, fans wait for Superman which comes to theaters on July 11.
]]>With the movie coming out in 2027, a lot of fans are bummed that they would have to wait longer, but Reeves has confirmed that development is pretty much underway with the movie expecting to shoot this year.
While rumors have been flying around for who the villain is, Reeves has shared that he’s not allowed to share who it is yet officially—but he has confirmed that at this point in the development, he’s already picked who the Dark Knight will go up against and it’s possible it could surprise audiences. Talking to Josh Horowitz at the Golden Globes, he does say, “I think that the story is a continuation in a certain way, and completely different in another, and it’s going to show a different side of [Robert Pattinson]. It’s going to be really cool.”
Since a lot of fans were expecting Mr. Freeze for years now, it’s possible that he won’t be the main villain of the sequel, but it’s been a while since he’s been adapted in live-action so it’s likely he could show up. There is also the guess that Barry Keoghan’s Joker is going to take the spotlight, but at this point, it does seem like they could be saving him for the main clash in the third movie.
So far, Reeves’ Gotham has been able to keep all the villains grounded and interesting, and fans are hoping that he manages to keep this streak going. After the success of The Penguin, the pressure is definitely on for Reeves to deliver with Part II.
I mean, why else are fans waiting this long?
The Batman Part II is expected to hit theatres Oct. 1, 2027.
]]>Talking to TV Line at the Golden Globes red carpet, executive producer Dylan Clark has confirmed that there are some talks about The Penguin 2, but they have mostly been ‘quiet conversations.’ Clark says, “If we could come up with an idea for what a second season might be, there’s a chance that [HBO CEO] Casey Bloys and the HBO team would want to pursue that… There have been quiet conversations about that.”
So far, showrunner Lauren LeFranc has been clear that she doesn’t move forward with the series if they don’t find a way a story to that would make sense for the character. As far as it looks, it seems that Cobb’s arc has been completed, and it looks like the show is setting up for his rise as a politician in the mainline Batman movies.
There had been a rumor going around that The Penguin could just be the first of several Max limited series spinoffs of The Batman, with each focusing on a completely different rogue. While rumors of a Joker series starring Barry Keoghan have been shut down, maybe there’s room for a Catwoman series starring Zoe Kravitz—maybe they could even have Sofia Falcone show up this time as well.
For now, The Batman fans are kind of bummed that the next movie will have to come out in 2027, but some are speculating that Reeves is gearing up for some kind of big reveal—either Battinson becomes the main DCU Batman, or he’s making two back-to-back Batman films. Either way, I’m excited for Colin Farrell’s Penguin to come back, and he’s going to be much for interesting to watch just because we know just how dirty he can get.
Catch the first season of The Penguin now streaming on Max.
]]>It was inevitable that the two would end up talking about The Batman, and Reeves reveals that one of his favourite moments with Catwoman in the movie was actually something Kravitz came up with. Kravitz had apparently liked the line “I have a thing about strays,” but Reeves had no idea how to put it into the scene.
Reeves explains, “I was like, ‘I do love that idea, but i don’t know how we’ll ever get that line in,’ and you go, ‘oh, that’s so easy. You just have [Batman] look down at the cats and say, ‘You got a lot of cats.'”
matt reeves on catwoman's "i have a thing about strays" line: "i was like, 'i do love that idea, but i don't know how we'll ever get that line in,' and you go, 'oh, that's so easy. you just have him look down at the cats and say 'got a lot of cats.'" pic.twitter.com/nEuNI8ZEEP

Here’s the scene from the film:
It’s definitely a great character moment in the film, and a says so much about Selina’s motivation and why she was so protective of Annika in the movie. Admittedly just having Batman mention that she has a lot of cats so she could explain herself was a genius move when it came to the writing.
The last we saw of Selina in The Batman, she went off to find a new life in Bludhaven (where Nightwing operates), but she’s also set to make a return in The Batman Part II. The finale of The Penguin also has her reaching out to her half-sister Sofia Falcone in Arkham, so it’s possible fans would also get to see more of her down the line.
No release date has been set for The Batman Part II, but the movie is expecting to shoot sometime next year.
]]>Flash forward to 2024, and DC Studios is now led by James Gunn and Peter Safran, and the DCEU has been dropped; all the heroes are set to be recast, and Supergirl is now going to be played by House of the Dragon’s Milly Alcock. It really did feel like the rug was pulled from under Calle, but she seems to be making peace with what’s happened. She tells The Hollywood Reporter:
“I look back at [playing Supergirl] as something super beautiful. It’s been said that a queer Latina girl like me couldn’t be Supergirl. But I was, and no one can take that away from me. That is the most important thing for me; I did something that mattered. And whether you saw yourself represented in me or not, a lot of people really connected with her and loved her.”
Calle also said that she found kinship with Leslie Grace, who had shot the Batgirl movie before it was shelved for tax purposes. She also says something that could possibly be throwing shade at the current DC heads. Check this out:
“I also want to work with people who value me and respect me and are really excited to work with me. That’s what I wish for myself, and that’s what I wish for anybody in this business, but that was a rough experience. So I look forward to working with people in this industry who see my value and who are excited to work with me.”
It’s certainly a shame that Calle wasn’t able to deliver the Supergirl she wanted, but she’s just one of many other passionate artists that weren’t able to give their all when it came to the mess that was the DCEU.
We don’t know if Gunn is going to deliver his universe any better, but having been on the Marvel side of things, maybe he has an idea of how better to tackle a new universe—especially since he’s going to start from the ground up this time.
Superman is set to release in theaters July 11, 2025.
]]>Talking to Entertainment Weekly, director Todd Phillips explained that while they did shoot the scene, he ultimately had to cut it because it ruined the flow of Harley’s triumphant march into the courthouse. He says:
“It had dialogue in it, and, all of a sudden, I wanted it to be more of a music and vibe moment … For that moment to have played, it needed dialogue behind it. Meaning, the woman said something, and then Gaga stopped and did this thing, and it just kind of got in the way of the moment.”
For context, the scene that was cut involved a protester shouting at Harley, telling her, “You’re going to hell!” to which Harley grabs her, kisses her forcefully in the mouth, and says, “Now we’re both going.” It felt like such a great character moment for Harley, so you can imagine some people’s disappointment that it didn’t make it to the final movie.
Lady Gaga as Harley Quinn kissing a woman in Joker is everything I never knew I needed. pic.twitter.com/Yrgr5lKee3
— berry (@sckberry) March 27, 2023
With the movie’s reliance on vibe and visuals though, I do understand how the kiss would have definitely taken some momentum out of the scene—which was supposed to focus rather on Harley Quinn’s fixation on Arthur.
Besides that kiss, a lot of things also didn’t make it into the final film. There was supposed to be a whole song and dance sequence at the staircase which turned out to be Harley’s final scene with Arthur. Plus, there was also the scene from the trailer where Harley and Joker walk out of the courthouse steps dancing together.

Hopefully we get a better look at some of the cut scenes down the line. But as of now, Folie a Deux has an uphill battle at the box office, being plagued with terrible reviews. On the other hand, more people are coming out to support the film, but will it manage to last another week in theatres to account for good word of mouth?
Joker: Folie a Deux is now showing in cinemas.
]]>Check this out:
It takes about three hours of work to make transform Farrell into Oz Cobb. Besides the heavy facial scarring—especially the nasty gash that Oz has near his mouth—the shape of the nose was actually meant to resemble a beak. What’s also cool is that the eyebrows were also changes to resemble that of an actual bird—and also make Oz look angrier even when he’s neutral.
A huge difference in the make-up was that Farrell actually shaved his head bald for The Batman, saving the make-up artists a lot of time with the wig. For the series though, Farrell needed to keep his hair long for projects, so the team had to hid his hair under a bald cap—which still looks fine when you see the final product.
Farrell absolutely disappears with the full look, and everyone is still pretty amazed that it’s actually him playing the part of Oz. The Penguin may only run for one season, but so far, everyone is loving this ride.
It should be some consolation for the fans who didn’t like Joker: Folie a Deux too much.

]]>The series is set to tell the story of a production crew for a fictional successful box office IP, and the movie is said to be drawing from real-life stories surrounding the making of franchises like Marvel and DC. The Franchise is set to come out this October, and we have a new trailer to get fans more excited about this meta-narrative. Check it:
The series comes from Succession creator Jon Brown with co-creators Sam Mendes (1917) and Armando Iannuci (The Death of Stalin). Mendes had his own experience with franchises when he worked on the Daniel Craig James Bond movies, and word probably just goes around about how chaotic these big blockbuster movies get.
Talking to THR, Brown shared:
“People think these movies are laid out in neat phases for the next 10 years. Then you hear about a set where, in the morning, a limo literally pulls up, the window comes down, and they hand out new script pages. Or producers on set have eight versions of the same script open, and they go through each script, cherry picking lines, and then they Frankenstein a scene out of nothing. Or the studio sends an actor to the set in the morning and they basically rewrite the day’s entire scene [to accommodate the last-minute cast addition]. You would assume all this was decided two years ago, but it’s happened a lot across Marvel and DC movies.”
As far as some chaotic stories go, some say that studios would go so far as to have one director shoot a scene they already know will be scrapped while the scene that’s going to replace it is being worked on simultaneously.
A lot of fans also know about the whole drama with Zack Snyder and Justice League where he had to exit the project and Joss Whedon had to take over—much to the dismay of everyone else on the cast. Don’t even get me started on David Ayer and what WB did to him with Suicide Squad.
We don’t know how long they plan to run with The Franchise, but I’m already in love with the premise and am hoping to get a Silicon Valley-level of commentary on the comic book movie industry.
Watch out for The Franchise when it releases on Max this Oct. 6.
]]>Check this out:
With Joker: Folie a Deux said to be more of a musical than the first movie, it’s been described as a ‘jukebox musical’ featuring covers of pre-existing songs that will all play a significant part in the telling of this new origin of this Joker and Harley.
While the toxic romance of Joker and Harley Quinn has been explored time and again in television, movies, and comics, Folie a Deux looks to be changing the formula this time around. Whereas Harley was originally a psychiatrist that Joker duped into falling in love with him; this version of “Lee” is also a fellow mental patient of Arthur Fleck.
It’s also worth noting that Joker and Harley’s romance was always portrayed as toxic, with Harley’s main arc consisting of her respecting herself and leaving Joker; but this time, it does seem that both are supportive and dependent on each other, and it’s kind of hinted in the previews that it’s Harley who will actually be pulling the strings of Arthur—who just happens to be the symbol he didn’t know he was going to be.
I’m just hoping this all builds up to a third movie with Joker and Batman, but we’re just going to have to wait and see.
Catch Joker: Folie a Deux when it hits cinemas on Oct. 4.
]]>For this iteration of the character, she’s actually named Lee Quinzel, and rather than being the Joker’s psychiatrist, she’s a fellow patient of Arkham. Now a new featurette has been dropped giving us a better look at Lee brought to life by none other than Lady Gaga. Check it:
“She easily slipped into that world,” says director Todd Phillips, “It’s not like she’s trying to be Harley Quinn from the comic books. She’s Lee in this world.”
With Joker establishing a new take on the origin of the character, fans are also expecting a fresh iteration of Harley for this movie. Though it’s been well-established in previous properties that Harley and Joker are a toxic couple, and Harley is essentially the Joker’s doormat, it’s possible that Folie a Deux could do something different with the relationship.
Maybe Harley is inspired by the Joker, but she ultimately ends up becoming more fierce than him? At this point in the story, it just doesn’t seem like Arthur could be the same Joker that we’ve seen Mark Hamill or Heath Ledger’s versions have been. But who knows, maybe the movie could build up to it, now that he’s trapped in Arkham and there’s no other way to let out the crazy.
I’m just hoping we get a greenlight for a third movie where Joker actually has to take on his version of Batman—which a lot of people know is Joker’s real true love.
Joker: Folie a Deux comes to cinemas on Oct. 4.
]]>HBO apparently thought that was a fun premise for a series, and this year we’re getting a show called The Franchise which is all about the chaos of making a multi-million budget superhero movie. Check this out:
Here’s the description for the series:
A team trapped inside the dysfunctional hell of creating franchise superhero movies, at the end of the day the question they face is: is this Hollywood’s new dawn or cinema’s last stand? Is this a dream factory or a chemical plant?
Though the teaser only gives us a look at the chaos happening on set, it’s possible that the show would also look into the pre-production/post-production phases which can also be considered pretty chaotic from wrangling actors to last-minute changes requested by the studio.
The series has also done a bit of meta-casting with actors that have starred in big franchise movies like Daniel Bruhl (Captain America: Civil War) and Richard E. Grant (Loki, Star Wars). The Boys fans will also recognize Stormfront actress Aya Cash.
Though I am all up for a meta-series, it’s not clear how a show about making superhero franchises is going to fly with audiences. I honestly loved Reboot which was about the making of a sitcom, but admittedly, the show didn’t manage to connect well enough with audiences and was mostly enjoyed by fans of the television process.
Hopefully The Franchise manages to get out of that trap. With some solid filmmakers credited as creators, I can’t wait to see how this series is going to tackle the behind-the-scenes narrative.
The Franchise is set to hit Max on Oct. 6.
]]>With the recent release of Rebel Ridge on Netflix, a lot of eyes are now pointed at actor Aaron Pierre, and a lot of people think he would make for a perfect Green Lantern. Fancasts of Pierre as Stewart have been making the rounds online and gathering thousands of likes.
Nah this is wild cuz you can't get more perfect than this pic.twitter.com/jsFZS1qD4r
— John (@SchwayJohn) September 8, 2024
This is what I'm lookin for, James.. pic.twitter.com/h4W4ApxCX7
— John (@SchwayJohn) September 8, 2024
You’ll also notice that the fancast has Chris Pine as Jordan instead of Brolin. Apparently, should Brolin decline the offer to play Hal Jordan, the shortlist is said to include actors like Pine and Timothy Olyphant to take on the part.
Besides Rebel Ridge, Pierre is probably best known for his role as the terrifically named Mid-Sized Sedan in M. Night Shyamalan’s Old which came out back in 2021. He also plays Malcolm X in the docudrama Genius from National Geographic.
I’ll have to admit though, with Brolin expected to play a grumpy old Lantern, it’s probably a given for his John Stewart to be more of a hotshot youngster—and Pierre has mostly just played serious characters. Then again, when it comes to his comic characterization Stewart was always pretty serious since he served in the Marine Corps. If the series is going for a comic-accurate Stewart, Pierre could be a great choice.
No release date has been set for the Lanterns series, but you can catch Pierre in Rebel Ridge now showing on Netflix.
]]>A new featurette gives us a good look at the themes of the series, and the major players that Oz (Colin Farrell) are going to be going up against now that there’s a power vacuum left by the death of Carmine Falcone. Check this out:
Matt Reeves says about the series, “To me what was very important is this idea of the high and the low; the idea of the parts of the city that are insulated, and then the people who are struggling just day to day to get by. The Penguin is really looking at the profound corruption of Gotham. It’s kind of a dark American dream story, really.”
Multiple people have been comparing The Penguin to HBO’s hit series The Sopranos, and think this has become a new trend for comic book movies where they take a cult auteur classic and just give it a comic book twist. Probably the most glaring example of this is Joker which a lot of people say is just Scorsese’s King of Comedy and Taxi Driver but with a Batman flavouring.
Either way, The Penguin does look pretty interesting. Farrell has a very different take on the character, and it would be fun to see just exactly what Batman is missing when it comes to protecting Gotham. Not only do we have Oz in the spotlight, but the character of Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) also looks like she can cause a lot of chaos, and it would be fantastic if she was able to do what very few shows do and become a mainstay in the comics depending on how good her character will be on this show.
The Penguin premieres on Max on Sept. 19.
]]>According to Nexus Point News, Brolin has been approached to play an older Hal Jordan in HBO’s DC series Lanterns. The series would partner an experienced Lantern like Jordan up with a younger new recruit in the form of John Stewart.
Funnily enough, this kind of mirrors Brolin’s role as a younger Agent K in the Men in Black series where his character was also partnered up with a black rookie in the form of Agent J (Will Smith). But I guess by MIB 3, the roles are reversed, and J was already an experienced agent when he met Brolin’s K.
Take note, Brolin is yet to accept or deny the role yet, but he is said to be at the top of the list of actors wanted for the part. Should he refuse, the series still has a shortlist of would-be Hal Jordans that they could choose from.
With the Green Lantern movie starring Ryan Reynolds coming out in 2011, the IP has admittedly been put on ice when it comes to the box office. There were plans to introduce a new Lantern in Zack Snyder’s DCEU, but like the rest of his plans, they all fell through.
As of now, no release date has been set for the Lanterns series, but the show is expected to start shooting in January next year.
]]>Just in, WB Pictures has dropped a trailer for the documentary Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve story, which looks to tell the story of Reeve during his rise as a pop-culture figure, and after his fateful accident which left his whole body paralyzed. Check this out:
The story of Christopher Reeve is an astonishing rise from unknown actor to iconic movie star, and his definitive portrayal of Clark Kent/Superman set the benchmark for the superhero cinematic universes that dominate cinema today. Reeve portrayed the Man of Steel in four Superman films and played dozens of other roles that displayed his talent and range as an actor, before being injured in a near-fatal horse-riding accident in 1995 that left him paralyzed from the neck down.
After becoming a quadriplegic, he became a charismatic leader and activist in the quest to find a cure for spinal cord injuries, as well as a passionate advocate for disability rights and care – all while continuing his career in cinema in front of and behind the camera and dedicating himself to his beloved family.
It’s actually quite amazing that Reeve managed to keep trudging along after his accident. He may have been at the peak of his physicality when he was Superman, but nobody was expecting him to actually help inspire others like him after he got into an accident.
Not only does the documentary feature members of Reeves’ family, but there are also other actors and peers who knew him personally, talking about how it was like for Reeves before and after he lost control of his body.
With a new Superman set to hit theaters next year, it’s pretty great to look back and see who was in the role before and how they managed to affect some real-world change.
Super/Man: The Christopher Reeve Story is set to come out in theaters on Sept. 21.
]]>The series is set to premiere this September, but even now a lot of fans are wondering just where this series will be when it comes to the continuity of the original film.
As it turns out, Penguin will be the direct bridge between both Batman films; and it will serve as a build-up to the sequel. Talking to Entertainment Weekly, showrunner Lauren LeFranc explains, “We are the bridge between the two films… We’re going almost directly into the second film Matt has planned.”
If you’ve watched the latest teaser for Penguin, it’s been revealed that the events of the series only took place a few weeks after The Batman. We don’t know where things will end, but it’s possible that the time skip will be a lot shorter by the time Battinson will be back on the big screen.
As for the character of Oz Cobblepot, The Batman did introduce him as a kind of henchman for Falcone, but by the end of the film, Falcone is gone, and this series will have Oz navigating the power vacuum that Falcone has left behind.
Interestingly enough, it also looks like Falcone’s daughter Sofia Falcone (Cristin Milioti) is going to be a major player in the series. As it turns out, she’s a former Arkham patient, and it looks like she has her own kind of crazy to bring to the table. Farrell describes Sofia and Oz, “They’re two survivalists who’ve been immersed in worlds of duplicity and defeat and violence… They’re very suspicious. They also have a very personally connected backstory.”
Watch out for The Penguin when it hits HBO this September.
]]>If you check out the closed captions on the trailer, you’ll know that it’s actually Harvey Dent/Two-Face talking on the radio, and it looks like he’s the prosecutor who is going to be going up against Arthur Fleck.
Harvey Dent will appear in ‘JOKER 2’, according to the trailer’s closed captions. pic.twitter.com/U62A7Fma5r
— DiscussingFilm (@DiscussingFilm) July 23, 2024
On the radio, Dent says, “They believe Arthur Fleck to be some kind of martyr. Well, he’s not. He’s a monster.”
It still hasn’t been revealed who is going to be playing Dent in the movie, but rumors have suggested that he’s going to be played by Harry Lawtey. If anything, it sounds like Dent is closer to his middle age, so I think he would be played by an older actor.
For a while, I actually had hope that it was Steve Coogan who was going to play Dent, but like Robert De Niro in the first movie, it looks like Coogan is just playing a journalist who is going to interview the Joker as he goes on trial.
Going back to Dent though, I don’t really expect him to have a large role in the film. Wishful thinking would have him undergoing his origin story in this film. After all, he’s prosecuting the Joker, and Arthur has a ton of supporters. What are the odds that someone just throws acid on his face as he’s walking to or from the courthouse?
I guess we’ll just have to wait and see. How funny would it be if they got Alec Baldwin to play Dent; since he was the original choice to play Thomas Wayne, but dropped out?

]]>What’s interesting is, the recently released Justice League: Crisis of Infinite Earths Part Three features one final performance of Conroy as Batman, and it has him tackling the Joker for one last time. Check this out:
https://twitter.com/DCUPRIMETV/status/1813041573221048450
“I must say Batsy, I’m flattered. The end of the world, and you want to spend it with me? I didn’t know you cared.”
“I care, Joker, about Gotham, about Justice, and if it has to end, at least I go out like this—being Batman.”
Admittedly, it’s kind of a shame that they didn’t get Mark Hamill to voice the Joker for this final scene with Conroy, but at least the dialogue feels like a nice bookend to his run as the animated Batman.
Before this scene, a lot of fans were bemoaning the idea that his final performance as the Dark Knight would be in the poorly received Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League game. At least it’s going to be in an adaptation of one of the most celebrated DC comic events—and it’s as the version of Batman that made him famous in the first place.
Now fully revealed as the ultimate threat to existence, the ANTI-MONITOR wages an unrelenting attack on the surviving Earths that struggle for survival in a pocket universe. One-by-one, these worlds and all their inhabitants are vaporized! On the planets that remain, even time itself is shattered and heroes from the past join the Justice League and their rag-tag allies against the epitome of evil. But as they make their last stand, will the sacrifice of the superheroes be enough to save us all?
