Here’s the official description of the film:
October 31, 1977. Johnny Carson rival Jack Delroy hosts a syndicated late night talk show ‘Night Owls’ that has long been a trusted companion to insomniacs around the country.
A year after the tragic death of Jack’s wife, ratings have plummeted. Desperate to turn his fortunes around, Jack plans a Halloween special like no other, unaware that he is about to unleash evil into the living rooms of America.
The trailer has definitely been able to catch the attention of several horror fans. We’ve seen found-footage horror movies before with films like Paranormal Activity and The Blair Witch project, but Late Night with the Devil takes that concept and kind of puts the horror in the middle of a variety television show set in the 70s.
The premise is no doubt unique, but I am also happy to see David Dastmalchian have a central role in a movie. After playing several side characters in films like Ant-Man and The Suicide Squad, I’m eager to watch him slowly unravel as the devil takes over his late night show.
Catch Late Night with the Devil when it comes to theaters on March 22.
]]>As per Gunn on Twitter, Melchior was able to land the part because she proved that she was fine hanging out with rats. Check out the post:
For Ratcatcher 2, we auditioned hundreds of actors from across the world. @MelchiorDaniela from Portugal ended up being one of 3 actresses to screen test – a test which included making sure she was ok chilling with rats. Here she is the day she won the role. #TheSuicideSquad pic.twitter.com/y9Diq8uLIy

In the film, Melchior’s Ratcatcher is actually the second iteration of the character as her father was the original Ratcatcher. We’ve had redemption stories for the kids of known villains before, so it’s going to be interesting to see how Melchior’s character will shine in The Suicide Squad.
Besides Ratcatcher, there’s just a myriad of interesting characters from John Cena’s Peacemaker to David Dastmalchian’s Polka-Dot Man. Let’s also not forget Idris Elba’s new character Bloodsport, whose character was taken intro prison because he almost killed Superman.
While fans are still bothering WB about #ReleaseTheAyerCut, hopefully The Suicide Squad is able to bring a breath of fresh aire when it comes to Task Force X.
The government sends the most dangerous supervillains in the world — Bloodsport, Peacemaker, King Shark, Harley Quinn and others — to the remote, enemy-infused island of Corto Maltese. Armed with high-tech weapons, they trek through the dangerous jungle on a search-and-destroy mission, with only Col. Rick Flag on the ground to make them behave.
Catch The Suicide Squad in theaters and on HBO Max when it comes out on Aug. 6.
