Catwoman – Geekfeed https://www.geekfeed.com Entertainment News, Celebrities and Fandoms Wed, 30 Mar 2022 15:31:18 +0000 en-US hourly 1 https://www.geekfeed.com/wp-content/uploads/2020/09/cropped-Geekfeed-Favicon-White-32x32.png Catwoman – Geekfeed https://www.geekfeed.com 32 32 Blue Beetle Casts Sharon Stone as Main Antagonist https://www.geekfeed.com/blue-beetle-casts-sharon-stone-as-main-antagonist/ Wed, 30 Mar 2022 15:31:18 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=64643 It looks like Sharon Stone is once again playing another DC antagonist.

Variety reports that Stone is in talks to play the villain in DCEU’s Blue Beetle movie starring Xolo Maridueña. She is set to play the villain Victoria Kord that has been created for the movie—but I suspect that this could be a rewrite of an established villain from the comics.

Back in 2004, Stone actually played opposite Halle Berry in the Catwoman movie where she played a cosmetic company owner that was looking to peddle an anti-aging cream that had a horrible secret. Almost 20 years later, Stone is going to be coming back to comic book movies, but this time she’ll be going up against Miguel from Cobra Kai.

Besides Stone and Maridueña, the movie’s cast also includes Bruna Marquezine, Belissa Escobedo, and Harvey Guillen.

Originally, Blue Beetle was announced as a movie for HBO Max, but it was then revealed that it would be releasing in theaters. We don’t know what that means officially, but it could be a hint that WB suddenly has faith for this movie. Too bad we can’t say the same thing about Batgirl, which is still expected to debut exclusively on HBO Max. With Barbara Gordon being an established character and Batman all the rage right now, you would think that they would give Batgirl a chance to thrive in cinemas.

With a release set for 2023, maybe we can get an update on Blue Beetle before the year ends. After the delay of Aquaman 2 and The Flash, DC has to market what they could.

Blue Beetle is set to hit theaters on Aug. 18, 2023.

Riddler Message Spotted in The Batman Poster https://www.geekfeed.com/riddler-message-spotted-in-the-batman-poster/ Wed, 02 Feb 2022 05:12:59 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63727 With March barely a month away, WB is going hard with their marketing push for The Batman. While fancy art can be enough, some fans have spotted a neat Riddler Easter Egg in a poster with Batman can Catwoman.

As it turns out, if you shine a light by a certain angle on the poster, a message from the Riddler reveals itself saying his line from the trailer, “You are a part of this too.” Check it out:

Using a blacklight actually makes it clearer, and you can also catch a message saying “Find out why,” with a secret code in the bottom:

We don’t know what other Easter Eggs could be hidden in marketing material, but I would start shining a blue light on any piece of Batman material I’d run into. You have to admit, it’s a great piece of meta marketing on the designers’ part.

While Batman movies have focused on the more bombastic set pieces, it’s said that Matt Reeves’ upcoming film will lean in more on the “greatest detective in the world” aspect of Batman, and he’ll have to unearth a lot of Riddler clues throughout the film—while at the same time clashing with Catwoman and the Penguin.

Though the release of Zack Snyder’s Justice League had brought a lot of hope to fans for #RestoreTheSnyderVerse, it looks like WB will be forging this new path with their upcoming DC films. We don’t know where Battinson’s place in the main timeline will be, but I am up for an original, unconnected story with its own original vibe. Who knows, maybe a multi-verse crossover with The Flash could let Pattinson make a cameo. We’ll just have to wait and see.

Catch The Batman when it hits theaters on March 4.

The Riddler is Diabolical in New Trailer for The Batman https://www.geekfeed.com/the-riddler-is-diabolical-in-new-trailer-for-the-batman/ Thu, 30 Dec 2021 02:54:46 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=63178 The Batman could have been out buy June, but WB has opted to delay the movie until March of 2022. We have a new trailer hyping up the film, and it gives us a lot more characterization on Catwoman as well as the main villain, Riddler.

Watch the new trailer for The Batman down here:

Though we were expecting Catwoman to be an adversary for the majority of the movie, it looks like she’ll be teaming up with the Dark Knight early. It seems that the film will also be leaning in on the dramatic tension between the two characters as early as this first movie.

As for the Riddler, we don’t know what he has against the entire city, but the trailer does reveal that he knows the identity of the Batman. This is also something I never thought I’d miss onscreen; but it’s fun to see the Riddler’s henchmen in Riddler garb, probably to make it easier for the Riddler to hide himself among them. We don’t know what else he has planned up his sleeve, but it looks like the fallout is going to be catastrophic unless the Batman stops him.

And while Alfred has mostly been comic relief in the latest Batman movies, it looks like the film is going to have him hiding a big secret from Bruce. I’m not expecting things to get too shaken up, but I am open to Reeves doing a completely new take on the Caped Crusader with this grungy, dark movie.

Catch The Batman when it hits theaters March 04, 2022.

McFarlane Toys Give Better Look at Batman, Riddler, and Catwoman https://www.geekfeed.com/mcfarlane-toys-give-better-look-at-batman-riddler-and-catwoman/ Tue, 19 Oct 2021 13:51:18 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62035 A lot of people got excited when DC FanDome saw the release of The Batman trailer last weekend, but it’s the reveal from McFarlane toys that gives us a great full look at the costumes of Batman, Riddler, and Catwoman.

Check them out:

It’s also worth noting that McFarlane has also revealed a Batcycle for their ‘Battinson’ figure, and not to be a gripe, but it looks like a pretty standard black bike.

Back to the costumes though, I think this new Batman has a pretty great batsuit, but McFarlane needs to work on the way the cape looks. I mean, it’s great in a standard pose, but they should give collectors the option to replace it with a cloth cape.

As for other characters, this is the best look we have at Riddler’s costume. We don’t know why he comes with an ice pick, but I’m guessing that will have some kind of relevance in the film. This version of Catwoman is also different from past iterations because she’s actually wearing a full ski mask. Hopefully the come up with an alternate head showing Zoe Kravitz’s face, because of all the figures, I think the Catwoman one looks the most underwhelming.

Each character comes with a description that gives insight on the plot as well. Check these out:

BATMAN – The Batman is two years into his role as Gotham’s embodiment of vengeance – a nocturnal vigilante who strikes fear in the hearts of criminals. A reclusive scion of Gotham’s richest family questioning his family’s legacy, The World’s Greatest Detective stalks the streets at night employing a lethal combination of mental mastery, physical strength and expert technology on his journey to becoming the city’s symbol of hope.

RIDDLER – The Riddler has quickly established himself as Gotham’s deadliest threat yet. This enigmatic, masked killer has devised a sinister series of puzzles and tortuous devices to entrap Gotham’s elite and publicly unmask the city’s darkest truths.

CATWOMAN – Selina Kyle is a mysterious figure who is quietly infiltrating Gotham’s seedy underbelly to further her own agenda. Her fierce attitude and tenacious agility are the perfect tools to excel as a cat burglar, but hidden underneath the array of identities and the motorcycle leathers is a protective soul who’s more at home with the city’s strays than its citizens.

The Batman is set to hit theaters on March 4, 2022. You can pre-order these McFarlane figures today.
