Watch Raimi-verse villains Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) and Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe) reunite in this Walking Corpses snippet.

When Norman Osborn (Willem Dafoe) and Otto Octavius (Alfred Molina) have an unexpected reunion, everyone makes a distressing discovery.

Though the villains never appeared together in the films, the writers found a way to give them a certain dynamic because they come from the same universe. It’s actually pretty cool how the villain in the last movie, Flint Marko a.k.a. Sandman, is the one to make the revelation that both Osborn and Octavius had died fighting Spider-Man.

Somehow it makes me feel really bad that they didn’t bring Topher Grace’s Eddie Brock into this movie.

The hype was certainly met with Spider-Man: No Way Home, and the movie is still making bank at the box office, even catching up to the mega blockbuster Avengers: Endgame. We don’t know when this epic run will eventually end, but we do know that Sony is going to keep milking that Spidey franchise while the going is good.

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero’s identity is revealed, bringing his Super Hero responsibilities into conflict with his normal life and putting those he cares about most at risk. When he enlists Doctor Strange’s help to restore his secret, the spell tears a hole in their world, releasing the most powerful villains who’ve ever fought a Spider-Man in any universe. Now, Peter will have to overcome his greatest challenge yet, which will not only forever alter his own future but the future of the Multiverse.

Spider-Man: No Way Home is now available in theaters.

Spider-Man Villains Get Brand New Character Posters https://www.geekfeed.com/spider-man-villains-get-brand-new-character-posters/ Fri, 03 Dec 2021 18:48:44 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62760 While fans have been waiting for a Sinister Six team-up in Spider-Man: No Way Home, the trailers have only managed to spotlight three main villains—Doc Ock, Electro, and the Green Goblin. While we only get glimpses of the characters in the previews, the three do get their own character posters which give us a good look at them.

Check out these international posters from @OneTakeNews:

A closer look at Electro’s garb shows that he has a more intricate, harness-like costume and we also get a clear look of the arc reactor on his chest. Doc Ock is the villain we’ve seen the most in the previews so he looks pretty much the same; the Goblin is the one that’s kind of shrouded in smoke, but we do get a look at his helmet and his hand holding a pumpkin bomb.

Though Homecoming and Far from Home have pretty much played their hand when it came to the plot of their films, No Way Home has been very careful when it comes to the big reveals in the film. While there have been supposed plot leaks online, the major points of the story are still a mystery, and we’re left guessing just how things will end with Peter Parker’s Home trilogy.

And even if they don’t appear in the previews, everyone is pretty sure that this movie will feature a comeback from Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield’s Spider-Men.

The Sinister Five Gather in New Trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home https://www.geekfeed.com/the-sinister-five-gather-in-new-trailer-for-spider-man-no-way-home/ Wed, 17 Nov 2021 15:10:40 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62480 As promised, Sony has dropped a new trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and this should keep everyone good and excited until the movie comes out in a month.

Check out the trailer for No Way Home down here:

While everyone was sure that they would get a reveal for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, it seems that Sony is really holding back when it comes to spoilers. If anything, only Doc Ock (Alfred Molina) was the villain the got to actually speak. The rest of the revealed villains—Electro, Green Goblin, Sandman, and the Lizard, barely got to say anything in the trailer.

What’s interesting is, we only got five villain reveals for the film, and Spider-Man infamously fought the “Sinister Six”. We don’t know if Sony is waiting until a future movie for a proper team-up, but it’s possible the sixth villain could be Michael Keaton’s Vulture; at some point, I kind of wish that the “Strange is Mephisto” theory is real, so that people can stop pitching it online.

New Look at Doc Ock in Spider-Man: No Way Home https://www.geekfeed.com/new-look-at-doc-ock-in-spider-man-no-way-home/ Wed, 03 Nov 2021 15:41:00 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=62203 Peter Parker is getting into some multiverse hijinks in the upcoming Spider-Man: No Way Home, and fans collectively lost their shit when Alfred Molina appeared as Doctor Otto Octavius. While we only got a short look at him in the trailer, Empire has dropped some new images of the classic iteration of the villain facing off against the MCU Spider-Man.

Check these out:

Besides that photo, we also have a Spider-Man-less photo of Ock with his CG tentacles:

While at first glance they look like the same ones we see in Spider-Man 2, some fans have pointed out that there is now a red color scheme to them—very similar to the color scheme of Iron Man. It’s possible that this is just a detail we missed from Ock’s original appearance, but that turtle neck could be a hint that this isn’t the Octavius we met in Spidey 2, but a different version. What if it’s the Octavius that actually succeeded in his experiment? What if the same could go for this film’s version of the Green Goblin and Electro?

A lot of fans were hoping for a big No Way Home trailer drop this week, but it looks like Sony won’t be giving us any goods. With December almost here, I think that we could have a preview drop sometime in the middle of November. Hopefully we don’t have to wait too long, and hopefully we get to see some more villains this time around.

The Multiverse Beckons in Spider-Man: No Way Home First Trailer https://www.geekfeed.com/the-multiverse-beckons-in-spider-man-no-way-home-first-trailer/ Tue, 24 Aug 2021 17:07:51 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=61158 After a low-definition leak got the Spider-Man fanbase going crazy online, Sony has officially released the first trailer for No Way Home, and boy is it crazy.

Watch the trailer for No Way Home down here:

Here’s the plot summary for No Way Home:

For the first time in the cinematic history of Spider-Man, our friendly neighborhood hero is unmasked and no longer able to separate his normal life from the high-stakes of being a Super Hero. When he asks for help from Doctor Strange the stakes become even more dangerous, forcing him to discover what it truly means to be Spider-Man.

The premise seems pretty clear cut in the trailer, and we can immediately see the aftermath of Mysterio outing Peter Parker to the public. We don’t exactly know how things go wrong, but I can’t wait to see all the villains that are going to be making their comeback. Besides Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock, we get a tease for the Green Goblin as well as Electro. Rumors are also going around that Sandman will be making an appearance in No Way Home thanks to the multiverse, and it’s possible Mysterio could still be pulling strings as well.

While the concept of bringing back old villains could be a tad fan-pander-y, I’m hoping that director Jon Watts finds a way to make it more meaningful for Tom Holland’s Peter Parker. I mean, I’m still excited to see Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield come back, but they shouldn’t forget that No Way Home is still Holland’s movie.

Spider-Man: No Way Home Unfinished Trailer Leaks Online https://www.geekfeed.com/spider-man-no-way-home-unfinished-trailer-leaks-online/ Mon, 23 Aug 2021 08:10:25 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=61130 [SPOILERS FOR SONY’S FIRST SPIDER-MAN: NO WAY HOME TEASER]

Fans have been waiting for months for Sony to release the first teaser for Spider-Man: No Way Home, and though the studio was officially set to release it this Monday at CinemaCon, the preview (or rather, an unfinished version) found its way online.

We’re not going to share the leak here because we could be flagged by Sony with copyright claims, but the preview is confirmed to be legit, albeit it does feature some unfinished VFX.

Though the CGI isn’t finished, it does have some great character interactions and one big villain reveal. The trailer essentially has Peter dealing with the aftermath of Mysterio’s Spider-Man reveal, and turning to Doctor Strange for a solution where nobody remembers that he’s Spider-Man. This leads to some multi-verse shenangians, and we get a reveal of Alfred Molina’s Doc Ock saying, “Hello Peter.”

Surely some other fans were hoping for a reveal for Tobey Maguire and Andrew Garfield, but for a teaser, just having Molina’s Ock appear already has so many implications. Hopefully Sony doesn’t drop the ball like they did with the Homecoming trailer and accidentally reveal the plot of the whole film in a future trailer. In the meantime, fans are just having a laugh at how someone had dropped the ball for a promo for one of the most anticipated movies of the year.
