The series is now gearing up for the release of the final season, and we have a new teaser. Check this out:

Here’s the synopsis for the third season (as per Bloody Disgusting):

“Having defeated General Abbot in the battle at Pubba’s Cabin, Gus (Christian Convery), Jepperd (Nonso Anozie), Becky (Stefania LaVie Owen), and Wendy (Naledi Murray) embark on a journey to Alaska in search of Gus’s mother, Birdie (Amy Seimetz), who has been working to uncover the mysterious origins of the deadly Sick. Along the way, they are joined by Dr. Singh (Adeel Akhtar), who may have his own dangerous beliefs about Gus and his role in reversing the virus. Meanwhile, a new threat emerges in the form of Helen Zhang (Rosalind Chao), her daughter Rosie (Kelly Marie Tran), and the ferocious Wolf Boys, who seek to restart human birth and view Gus as the solution to their plans.

“As they navigate through perilous terrain, Gus and his group of friends find refuge at the Outpost in Alaska, where they meet a new ensemble of characters including Siana (Cara Gee) and her hybrid daughter Nuka (Ayazhan Dalabayeva). With the clock to find answers running out, alliances are tested and destinies intertwine, all leading to a thrilling climax that will determine the fate of humanity and hybrids.”

3 Body Problem fans will immediately ecorgnize Rosaline Chao who will be playing a new threat for Gus and friends; add on top of that Kelly Marie Tran, who is best known for playing Rose in Star Wars: The Last Jedi. Lucasfilm may have sidelined her in The Rise of Skywalker, but I’m honestly just happy to see Tran acting in something else.

Admittedly Sweet Tooth wasn’t able to get the same kind of mass appeal as Stranger Things or Squid Game, but the show does look fantastic, and it does have very interesting lore with the hybrids and the Sick.

I guess a lot of people were just weary when this show launched since it did show a global pandemic, and this released around the time COVID was still pretty much a threat.

Hopefully Sweet Tooth manages to end with a bang.

The final season of Sweet Tooth comes to Netflix on June 6.

Netflix Drops Final Trailer for 3 Body Problem https://www.geekfeed.com/netflix-drops-final-trailer-for-3-body-problem/ Thu, 14 Mar 2024 11:26:46 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=81488 David Benioff and D.B. Weiss have put Game of Thrones way behind them, and now they’re teaming up with Netflix for an adaptation of 3 Body Problem from author Liu Cixin. The show is set to premiere later this month, and we have a final trailer giving us a good idea of what to expect from the series:

The synopsis reads:

A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.

Admittedly, the premise is kind of confusing to grasp for a series, and that’s why a lot of people considered the book to be unadaptable—much like Watchmen and Dune before it. By any case, “D&D” have been known to be very good at adapting material for television—just make sure that the source material is complete and that they don’t start getting bored with it after a couple of years.

With so much online vitriol following Benioff and Weiss online, you can imagine the angry GoT fans are going to be spamming the comments with how much they hate pair in the official 3 Body Problem pages; but I am hoping that we get a fantastic adaptation that will be able to stand on its own when it premieres.

Catch 3 Body Problem when it premieres on Netflix on March 21.

New Trailer Dropped for 3 Body Problem from Game of Thrones Showrunners https://www.geekfeed.com/3-body-problem-from-game-of-thrones-showrunners/ Mon, 15 Jan 2024 10:26:05 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=80545 David Benioff and D.B. Weiss were said to have lost their Star Wars deal because they made one with Netflix, and we’re now getting our first show out of the duo since Game of Thrones. Check out the latest trailer for 3 Body Problem which is set to come out this March:

The official description reads:

A young woman’s fateful decision in 1960s China reverberates across space and time to a group of brilliant scientists in the present day. As the laws of nature unravel before their eyes five former colleagues reunite to confront the greatest threat in humanity’s history.

Like Dune before it, there had been a lot of discussion about 3 Body Problem by author Liu Cixin and how it was impossible to adapt into television or film. It’s possible there could be some concepts dropped when it comes to the series, but we’ll just have to wait and see what Benioff and Weiss have in store.

Admittedly, the two have become synonymous to internet poison ever since the final season of Game of Thrones, and any mention by them online is immediately followed by annoying fans who ‘hate D&D’ in the comments; but I am hoping that they will manage to shake it off with 3 Body Problem.

I mean, we could have had a Star Wars series from the creators of Game of Thrones, but they dropped that to do this—so it better be worth it, right?

3 Body Problem is set to start streaming on Netflix on March 21.

Netflix Announces Geeked Week ‘23 with Teases for Rebel Moon, Scott Pilgrim, Avatar: TLA, and More https://www.geekfeed.com/netflix-announces-geeked-week-23-with-teasers/ Fri, 20 Oct 2023 08:06:37 +0000 https://www.geekfeed.com/?p=79283 Fans know that Netflix’s annual big event for reveals is TUDUM, but they have another event revealing all their biggest sci-fi and anime titles called Geeked Week.

The event is set to launch early next month, and Netflix has dropped a trailer featuring all the shows and films they plan to showcase including Avatar: The Last Airbender, One Piece, and the live-action Yu Yu Hakusho. Watch this:

Other series included in the trailer are the Scott Pilgrim anime, Ultraman Rising, Sonic Prime, One Piece live-action, and Zack Snyder’s Rebel Moon. We’re also finally getting a first look at their adaptation of 3 Body Problem, which comes from Game of Thrones creators David Benioff and D.B. Weiss.

Of course, there are also teaser for existing Netflix properties that are getting new seasons including The Umbrella Academy, The Dragon Prince, and Masters of the Universe: Revolution.

Netflix is also gearing up for the hype of the final season of arguably their biggest show with a full Stranger Things Day. We don’t know exactly what they’re going to be featuring, but with so much hype surrounding the reveal of Vecna and the destruction of Hawkins, it would be great if we could get some more material to hold on to—maybe even a full teaser. How about a trailer for that prequel play featuring a young Hopper and Joyce?

I guess we’ll just have to wait and see what’s in store.Geeked Week 2023 takes place from Nov. 6–12; stay tuned on Netflix for more updates.
