Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League Introduces Tween Poison Ivy

Pamela Isley a.k.a. Poison Ivy had been a prominent figure in Rocksteady’s Arkham series, and the character was eventually killed off in Arkham Knight. With the upcoming Suicide Squad game though, it’s been revealed that Ivy has actually returned—or rather, her offspring.

In a recently released episode of Suicide Squad Insider, it’s revealed that Poison Ivy had somehow resurrected into a tween that’s being experimented on by Lex Luthor. Watch this (Ivy comes in at 8:44):

For context, this is what happened to Ivy in Arkham Knight:

Though we never really got to see Harley and Ivy’s romance play out in any of the games, it’s still implied that the characters have history in Suicide Squad. Though Ivy may not remember Harley in this continuity, her pheromones can ‘remember’ her. We don’t know how the game eventually wants to tug on that relationship, but introducing a young Ivy is definitely stirring the pot with some fans.

As far as the game goes, Poison Ivy will be essential to a new gameplay mechanic which will allow her and her plants to dish out status effects that are inspired by other DC villains unto unsuspecting enemies. On the other hand, it’s also been revealed that Penguin will be the one supplying the Squad with weapons and has been delegated to this game’s version of a crafting station.

Admittedly, Suicide Squad has been so delayed that fans are starting to lose interest in the game, but hopefully Rocksteady manages to knock it out of the park when it finally releases next year.

Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League is set to launch on Feb. 2, 2024 for PC, Xbox Series X|S, and PS5.
