We don’t know when the next trailer for Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker comes out, but Lucasfilm has been slow and steady with the promotion. Just in, Empire has given us two new stills from TROS and they feature Supreme Leader Kylo and the Knights of Ren.
Check them out:
What’s interesting about this photo is it looks like Kylo and the troopers are looking at the Millennium Falcon jetting away from their hangar. You can notice how all the troopers have been pushed back while Kylo is using the Force to keep himself standing. We don’t know for sure what’s happening in this scene, but it’s definitely a great look at the First Order.
As for the Knights of Ren, their origin is still shrouded in mystery. We got a gander at them in The Force Awakens, but for now, their exact role is still a mystery. Was their loyalty not to Snoke? Shouldn’t they hate Kylo for offing their leader? Or is Kylo blaming Snoke’s death on Rey?
Though we don’t have that much on the plot yet, I’m kind of pleased how Lucasfilm has kept everything under wraps. Of course, there are already numerous leaks of what the story supposedly is, but seeing that this is the end of a nine-movie-saga, I’m trying my best to keep away from spoilers and watch the film as intended by the filmmakers.
Catch Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker when it comes out Dec. 20.
