Disney+ had debuted with a bang, and it was probably thanks to The Mandalorian which was one of the most in-demand shows in 2019. Lucasfilm is currently working on the second season, and we finally have a release window for The Mandalorian 2.
During an earnings call, Disney CEO Bob Iger has confirmed that the show is returning this October.

An October release makes a lot of sense for The Mandalorian, since it gives the property a lot of space to breath between other Disney releases. August will see the debut of The Falcon and The Winter Soldier with November bringing the release of Eternals, capping off the year with WandaVision in December.
The Mandalorian was a pretty fun show, but I have to say, 30 minutes felt too short for one episode—especially counting that they release once a week. I think Lucasfilm should have stuck to the hour-long format, so that we could further explore characters and the different worlds that the Mando visits.
For now, there’re still a lot of questions left for The Mandalorian, most especially the ones surrounding Baby Yoda. We don’t know why the Empire remnant wants him in the first place, but clues hint that they may want to clone him. What if he literally is a clone of Yoda? How did Moff Gideon end up with the Darksaber?
Here’s the synopsis for The Mandalorian:
After the stories of Jango and Boba Fett, another warrior emerges in the Star Wars universe. The Mandalorian is set after the fall of the Empire and before the emergence of the First Order. The series depicts a lone bounty hunter in the outer reaches of the galaxy far from the authority of the New Republic.
You can catch the first season of The Mandalorian now on Disney+. The second season debuts this October.
