The Mandalorian’s Paul Sun-Hyung Lee Now Wants to Join Star Trek

Kim’s Convenience star Paul Sun-Hyung Lee basically manifested his appearance in The Mandalorian by sharing his love for Star Wars, and now he’s ready to join another sci-fi franchise.

Replying to a post on Twitter asking who people would want to see in Star Trek, Lee shared a photo of himself wearing a Starfleet outfit, holding up the Vulcan salute. Here’s his post:

While fans do love to play “fandom rivalry” with Star Wars and Star Trek, the series has been known to share talent. Probably the biggest name is J.J. Abrams, who had helped rejuvenate the Trek movie franchise back in 2009 then proceeded to bring back Star Wars with The Force Awakens in 2015.

Lee is actually a pretty neat guy outside of his actor work, and he managed to turn Star Wars fans’ heads when he revealed that he had obsessively been putting together Star Wars cosplay from stormtroopers, to Jedi, to rebel pilots. He had a cameo as Carson Teva in the second season of The Mandalorian, then came back with a bigger role with the latest season.

We don’t know what’s in store for Teva in the future, but fans would definitely love to see more of Lee in the future. As for Trek, I can very much imagine him appearing in any of the spinoff shows that are currently running (personally, I’d prefer Strange New Worlds, but that’s just a personal preference).

For now, watch out for Lee in the latest season of The Mandalorian which is now streaming on Disney+.
