Star Wars: Ahsoka Series Release Window Revealed

Star Wars: Ahsoka Series Release Window Revealed

Star Wars fans are currently at the start of the third season of The Mandalorian, but a lot are waiting eagerly for the release of the Ahsoka series starring Rosario Dawson. The good news is, it looks like we could be getting it this year.

According to Variety, the Ahsoka series is aiming to release on Disney+ in the late summer. We don’t have a specific release date yet, but we’re set to have the ‘first major push’ for the show this coming Star Wars Celebration in April.

We don’t have an official description for the story of Ahsoka yet, but based on her appearance in The Mandalorian, we know that she’s on a journey to find Grand Admiral Thrawn. We also know that the show will feature characters from the animated Rebels series like Sabine (Natasha Liu Bordizzo) and Ezra (Eman Esfandi); and rumors are going around that Mary Elizabeth Winstead is playing Hera Syndulla, the pilot of The Ghost.

I guess it’s also worth mentioning that Anakin Skywalker Hayden Christensen is going to be showing up in the series, and whether it’s as Vader or Clone Wars era Anakin, we’re just going to have to wait and see what happens.

I am hoping that the show manages to be more Andor than The Mandalorian, but since this is Dave Filoni’s project, I think we’re going to be in for what some fans have dubbed ‘Jon Favreau’s Action Figure Hour’.

No official release date has been revealed for Ahsoka, but you can catch The Mandalorian 3 now on Disney+.
