Rian Johnson is currently undergoing his whodunit era, and before the next Knives Out comes out, we’re going to be getting the second season of Poker Face starring Natasha Lyonne.
A new teaser has been dropped, and though it barely runs for 30 seconds, it wastes no time showing off all of its stars. Check this out:

It’s actually interesting that Schilling should be cast for this season, since she was a regular on Orange is the New Black which also starred Lyonne. In the first season, Lyonne was reunited with Clea DuVall, who co-starred with Lyonne on their cult movie But I’m a Cheerleader.
Though Knives Out is a whodunit murder mystery, Poker Face is kind of a subversion of the formula where the killers are revealed in the first part of the episode, and the mystery is how they’ll end up getting caught.
Admittedly, the formula does get kind of predictable as each episode comes along, but there are some interesting changes from time to time where a killer isn’t caught, but justice is served one way or another.
As someone who enjoyed The Last Jedi, I’m still holding out for Rian Johnson to make his Star Wars trilogy, but as of now, it does seem like he’s living his best life just making whodunit movies and series with the most prolific actors of today.
The new season of Poker Face comes to Peacock on May 8.
