It seems that speculation has been confirmed. After the first look at Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse had a scene with Miles seemingly being chased by Spider-Man 2099, this new trailer confirms that there will indeed be a clash among the Spider-people in the upcoming film.

Here’s the official description:
Miles Morales returns for the next chapter of the Oscar®-winning Spider-Verse saga, Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse. After reuniting with Gwen Stacy, Brooklyn’s full-time, friendly neighborhood Spider-Man is catapulted across the Multiverse, where he encounters a team of Spider-People charged with protecting its very existence. But when the heroes clash on how to handle a new threat, Miles finds himself pitted against the other Spiders and must redefine what it means to be a hero so he can save the people he loves most.
Despite being touted as the new villain for the film, the trailer doesn’t really give us a look at The Spot yet. Instead, we’re given a look at all the different Spider-Men, and it’s kind of implied that there could be an all-out Spider-War with Miles and the rest not being able to agree on something.
As a fan of the first Spider-Verse, I can’t wait to see what they’re bringing to the table with this film. I think all the designs for the Spider-variants are interesting, and I absolutely love the design of the pregnant (and now black) Spider-Woman Jessica Drew.
Catch Spider-Man: Across the Spider-Verse when it swings into cinemas on June 2, 2023.
