We know that Insomniac Games’ Spider-Man 2 is going to be giving us other villains like Kraven the Hunter and the Lizard, but the cherry on the top of the Sunday is definitely the introduction of this universe’s Venom.
Fans are still guessing all kinds of things about this new Venom, but a new international promo has revealed just how massive this thing is compared to the human-sized Spider-Men. Check this out:
While Sony’s movie Venom could pass as a really tall human, it looks like the game’s Venom is a little taller, like a slender version of the Hulk. People are still guessing as to who the identity of this Venom is going to be, and while comic purists say that he has to be Eddie Brock, some think that he’s actually Norman Osborn’s sick son Harry, who was teased way back in the first game.
Though the first Spider-Man game from Insomniac was well-received, the game did get some criticism when it came to the variety of missions and gameplay, which tended to become a bit repetitive. With Miles now a playable character and a whole new gaming system to play the game on, a lot of fans are expecting the sequel to definitely up the ante when it comes to the world of Spider-Man, from the gameplay to the overall narrative.
Fingers crossed they manage to build enough hype for a finished trilogy of games.
Spider-Man 2 launches for the PS5 on Oct. 20.
