South Park: Snow Day Promises a Irreverently Funny Fantasy Action Game

South Park is no stranger to video ames, and the 2010s saw them releasing fan-favorite strategy games like South Park: The Stick of Truth and South Park: The Fractured but Whole. Now Cartman and the boys are ready to come back to fantasy, but this time around we’re going to get into some real-time action.

Here’s the gameplay reveal for South Park: Snow Day:

Hey, New Kid! Grab up to three friends, in this four-player co-op, and battle your way through the snow-piled town of South Park on a quest to save the world and enjoy a day without school.

Equip and upgrade devastating melee and ranged weapons. Deploy special abilities and powers that will bring hordes of enemies and epic bosses to their knees.

Like all previous South Park games, Snow Day encourages the player to create their own avatar for the game, and the characters from the show will serve as their own unique NPCs.

With the 2D format of the previous games, they were actually able to match the look of the series, which made it feel like players were interacting with an actual episode of South Park. But with Snow Day, they’ve decided to go the 3D route, which is understandable for any real-time action game.

I guess as long as the humor is spot on, I won’t be complaining.

No specific release date has been announced for South Park: Snow Day, but the game is expected to release for the Nintendo Switch, Xbox Series X|S, PS5, and PC sometime in 2024.
