Solo: A Star Wars Story does something new in a sense that it gives us a look at the criminal underworld of Star Wars, and the end teased Han and Chewie flying off to Tatooine to look for a job with Jabba the Hutt. With the #MakeSolo2Happen movement last week, screenwriter Jon Kasdan teased that the sequel would have featured an all-out war between the syndicates.
Beyond grateful & galvanized by the #MakeSolo2Happen energy on Twitter today. Means so much to everyone involved & ur enthusiasm makes it possible for us to keep advocating for it! 'Cause, the Maker knows, there's a WAR story set in a Galaxy Far Far Away that's yet to be told… pic.twitter.com/8Y3YEhC4SU

We already know the logo of Maul’s Crimson Dawn, but the one in the middle is for the Hutt Cartel. As for the yellow one, that symbol stands for the Pyke syndicate, the same gang that runs the Kessell Spice Mines.
There are a lot more crime families in Star Wars, so the sequel could have given us a look at more of them besides these three. There’s still the Black Sun plus the Droid Gotra. I would have loved to see if Saw Gerrera’s Partisans had any shady dealings with any of the syndicates as well.
For now, we don’t have any confirmation on the sequel, whether it be a film or a Disney+ series. I guess the closest thing we’ll have for now is Jon Favreau’s upcoming The Mandalorian, which will delve into the criminal underworld six years after the Battle of Endor. Fingers still crossed that we get to see the conclusion of the story between Han Solo and Qi’Ra.
A sequel to Solo: A Star Wars Story has not been officially announced.
