The White Lotus may not be a reality TV show, but it still features a lot of drama with a new batch of people every season. With already three seasons under their belt, one star says he heard a rumor about potentially bringing some people back.
In an interview with THR, Patrick Schwarzenegger (Saxon) shared that he heard a rumor that there would be an ‘All-Star’ season of White Lotus that could feature fan-favorites from previous seasons. Series creator Mike White says, “I’d love to do that,” to which Shwarzenegger pitches:
“They could get all the douche guys in one hotel together. Mike said that one day when we were on set, he was like, “Oh my God, it’d be so good to get you, Jake Lacy and Theo James in the same room.”
HBO boss Casey Bloys also pitched, “Maybe Molly Shannon’s character and Victoria Ratliff know each other? There are so many connections between all these awful people.”
Though the nature of the series has been an anthology, one familiar character does show up every season. Jennifer Coolidge was in both the first and second season as Tanya, and Belinda (Natasha Rothwell) was introduced in Season 1, skipped out Season 2, and was back for Season 3.
It’s unclear where a next season could go, but the format is essentially a murder-mystery with several players all happening in an exotic location that is connected by the White Lotus brand of resorts. With three seasons dealing with tropical locations, some are hoping the fourth season could bring the story to a snow-covered ski resort this time.
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens. In the meantime, the complete White Lotus Season 3 is now streaming on Max.
