The Batman probably has the most memorable rogues gallery in all of DC, but while everyone is familiar with characters like Riddler, Penguin, and Joker, there are somepost-2000s characters that have also made their mark in the comics.
One specific character is Hush from Batman: Hush created by Jeph Loeb and Jim Lee, and rumor has it that he could be making his big screen debut soon. According to The Hot Mic, the sequel to The Batman starring Robert Pattinson could be bringing in Hush to be the main villain.
I’m not going to spoil the comic, but the character of Hush was introduced as a sort of mastermind that knew intimate secrets about Bruce Wayne and used his rogues gallery to get to him. Hush’s signature look is that of a trench coat and a head covered with bandages.
DC also released an animated adaptation of the comic back in 2019:
Seeing that a lot of fans pretty much know who Hush is already, it’s very likely that they could just be borrowing elements from the comic to put into a whole new story, like the villain who knows about Bruce Wayne and manipulates other rogues to get to him.
I’m just curious about how they would tackle his costume, since the Riddler pretty much had the same look with his covered head and heavy coat.
Then again, this is just a rumor. Other villains that have been said to be appearing in this film include Clayface and Mister Freeze. Not to mention, there’s also Barry Keoghan’s Joker who a lot of fans believe should have been kept in the first movie.
Hopefully more details will be revealed soon. The Batman – Part II is set to come out Oct. 3, 2025.
