A lot of fans were worried about Captain America: Brave New World coming out last weekend because early reviews have been pointing it out to be a poor entry into the MCU—but it looks like the tides are starting to turn.
Though Cap 4 may have started out with 54% on RottenTomatoes when it debuted last week, more and more reviews have been coming in showing their support for the film, and how ‘it’s not as bad as some critics are making it out to be.’ Here are some more supportive reviews that have been coming out on Twitter:

Is #CaptainAmericaBraveNewWorld as bad as people are saying it is?
No.
Does it have a few issues with stuff like VFX and story?
Sure.
But it’s a damn fun ride and a solid new addition to the MCU.

With a budget of reportedly $180 million, Captain America: Brave New World has managed to earn an opening weekend of $190 million. It’s unclear how the word-of-mouth is going to translate to the next weekend, but some are hopeful that this positive buzz could solidify Brave New World as a strong earner for Marvel. Some are even saying that the movie needs to make a gross upwards of $400 million for the movie to breakeven; so we’ll just have to wait and see what happens.
Like several reviewers, I thought that the movie was a pretty solid entry. Sure, it isn’t Winter Soldier, but it’s not nearly as bad as some projects that the movie is being compared to. It feels like it has more substance than Thor: Love and Thunder, and it’s definitely more entertaining than The Eternals.
Personally, I loved that Harrison Ford’s Ross got his own solid arc, despite being the semi-antagonist of the film. Plus, Anthony Mackie absolutely shines as this new flavour of Captain America. He’s not as earnest as Steve Rogers, but he’s definitely a hard worker with a heart.
Catch Captain America: Brave New World now showing in theaters.
