It’s been a while since Netflix has given us an update on the live-action Avatar: The Last Airbender, but we do know that the show is aiming for a release sometime next year. What’s great is, it could be on the earlier side of 2024.
According to @AvatarNews_ on Twitter, the Last Airbender series is said to be aiming for a release in February 2024. Here’s the post:

Of course, nothing official has been revealed by Netflix yet, so it’s best to take this with a grain of salt. With the show being in development for years though, a release in February does seem pretty realistic.
Originally, the show had original creators Michael Dante DiMartino and Bryan Konietzko attached to the project, but after some creative differences with Netflix, the pair decided to leave the project—resulting in a lot of ATLA fans becoming skeptical of the live-action adaptation.
Either way, Netflix is pushing forward with the show, and a lot of fans have been pretty positive with the casting. After the whitewashing of the M. Night Shyamalan film, it’s going to be great to actually see some accurate representation in the live-action Airbender property.
We don’t know when Netflix is going to make their next big reveal for the series, but I’m guessing they want to wait for the One Piece hype to die down before they start talking about their next anime adaptation.
Watch out for Avatar: The Last Airbender when it airs on Netflix possible this coming February 2024.
