Tomb Raider and Uncharted may be games inspired by the Indiana Jones films, but now Indy himself is making a leap to gaming with the upcoming Indiana Jones and the Great Circle. The game has been hyped up for a while, but Gamescom just revealed a release date and Troy Baker is here to give us a new look at the game.

Get a new look at Indy’s global adventure and the tools at his disposal as he faces off against sinister forces. From the whip and colt to his trusty journal and camera, you’ll need everything he’s got to unravel the mystery of the Great Circle.
The Great Circle releases this December 9 for PC and Xbox Series X|S, and it will release much later for the PlayStation 5 in the spring of 2025.
With the archaeology adventure games already adapting a 3D-platformer format, Great Circle actually does something different in that it’s primarily an FPS game. No doubt, Indy will still be running around solving puzzles and jumping across platforms, but for a lot of the game, the player is put in Indy’s POV.
For fans who want to see Harrison Ford’s mug though, the movie will still have cut scenes where you can see Indy’s digitally remastered face.
Admittedly, the Indiana Jones fanbase is aging, but I always appreciate when Lucasfilm tries something new with the character. Dial of Destiny was actually pretty neat, and hopefully The Great Circle will be a fun entry point into the iconic franchise.
Indiana Jones and the Great Circle comes out for Xbox Series X|S and PC on Dec. 9. It will also launch for the PS5 sometime next year.
