Overwatch 2 may have given up on some promises made for PvE, but Blizzard is giving fans an incoming story campaign with the launch of Overwatch 2: Invasion. The event launches this week, and we have a new launch trailer revealing new game modes and a new support hero.

While previous seasons of Overwatch 2 seemed to rely on a unified theme (like sci-fi or medieval fantasy), it looks like Invasion is going to have a mixed bag of aesthetics. While there are some looks that look to service the Invasion event, we also have some interesting omnic skins for heroes like Symmetra and Ana. If you ask me, it would be cool if we got some bio-human skins for robots in the game like Zenyatta or Ramattra; how about an Echo skin that’s pretty much her creator Dr. Liao in an Iron Man suit?
While Overwatch 2 is free-to-play, the Invasion campaign will have to be bought with USD 15; not only will that buy access to the story missions, but it will also give players 1000 Overwatch Coins to spend as well as a new Legendary skin for Sojourn.
Overwatch 2: Invasion launches on Aug. 10 for Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, PlayStation 4|5, PC, and Nintendo Switch.
