We’re getting three Star Wars show next year, and at the top of everyone’s most anticipated list is the Obi-Wan Kenobi series starring Ewan McGregor. Though we’ve come to expect Star Wars shows to come out near the holiday season, it looks like we could be getting the Jedi-centric spinoff early.
As per Cinelinx’s Jordan Maison, Disney+ could debut Obi-Wan Kenobi by May 2022. Here’s the post:

While there’s no official confirmation, a May release could make sense if Disney wants to space out their Star Wars titles over the year. We could get Kenobi by May, then a release for Andor and the third season of The Mandalorian released around September and the holiday season.
While I personally think that Star Wars is made for a theatrical experience, Kenobi showrunner Deborah Chow has said that a series format allows for deeper character explorations. Besides finding out how Obi-Wan has coped after the Jedi Purge; the show is also expected to follow the early days of Darth Vader and his ongoing hunt for Obi-Wan and the rest of the surviving Jedi.
Though we find Ben on Tatooine in A New Hope, fans believe that the show will have Inquisitors looking for Obi-Wan on Tatooine, and he has to go off world in order to stop them from finding Luke. On the way, we should expect to meet some more characters, scoundrels, ex-Jedi, and Imperials alike.
As of now, no official release date has been announced for Obi-Wan Kenobi. The next Star Wars property, The Book of Boba Fett, will premiere on Disney+ on Dec. 29.
