One of the core elements of a successful Dungeons & Dragons campaign is a party, and that’s exactly what Chris Pine will be leading in the upcoming D&D film, Honor Among Thieves. Just in, we have a featurette introducing us to all the characters in the main group, including their class and abilities.
Check this out:
So we have Edgin (Chris Pine) the bard, Holga (Michelle Rodriguez) the barbarian, Simon (Justice Smith) the sorcerer, Doric (Sophia Lillis) the druid, and Xenk (Rege-Jean Page) the paladin. The featurette also introduces us to Forge (Hugh Grant) the rogue, and Sofina (Daisy Head) the Red Wizard.
While the rest of the characters in the party have had their powers explained, I am curious about Edgin. We know that he’s just a bard, but seeing that he looks to be the lead of the party, I’m wondering if he has some kind of tragic backstory. Why else would Chris Pine be playing him?
The film looks like a whole lot of fun, and should be relatable to audience members who already play Dungeons & Dragons. I’m just hoping Honor Among Thieves manages to get some watchers to pick up the game after they’ve seen the film.
Here’s the official description:
