Clark Discovers His Origin in New Clip from My Adventures with Superman

Superman: Legacy has found its new leads, but next month, we get a new animated version of the Man of Steel with My Adventures with Superman. A new clip has just dropped for the series, and we have a young Clark Kent discover his alien origin.

Watch this:

The clip is essentially the moment in the Superman lore when Clark discovers his alien origin, but the series gives it a special twist. This is one of the few times when Krypton is actually given its own alien language which Clark doesn’t understand; and the moment is actually rife with danger.

We don’t know how the Kents were able to hide such a huge thing, but I guess we can just chalk it up to cartoon logic.

Though the retelling of Superman’s story directly points to the person in the hologram to be Kal’s father Jor-El, I’m going to make a guess and say that this is actually a hologram of General Zod. Jor-El is known to be a scientist, and the grizzled look and tone of the hologram guy is that of a warrior/military man.

It’s possible the series could make us (and Clark) believe the guy in the hologram is his actual father, and by the time we actually meet him in the series, he’s revealed to be an alien super fascist.

Then again, that’s just speculation on my part.

My Adventures with Superman premieres on Max on July 6.
