New Avatar: The Way of Water Featurette Takes a Look at Shooting in ‘The Volume’

Probably one of the neatest hat tricks of Avatar: The Way of Water is that everything we see on the screen is completely CGI, and this allowed for James Cameron to shoot all his upcoming movies back to back. Just in, we have a special look at the shooting of The Way of Water in the volume, and we get to see actors Sam Worthington, Zoe Saldana, Sigourney Weaver, and Stephen Lang in their mo-cap Na’vi outfits.

Check this out:

Besides the returning cast members, we’re also getting the new characters in the form of Kate Winslet and Cliff Curtis who play the leaders of the Metkayina clan who are adept with the world of water. We also have a look at the actors playing the Sully kids like Jamie Flatters, Britain Dalton, and Trinity Jo-Li Bliss.

With the first movie being a visual spectacle, the same could very well be said about The Way of Water. Pandora is all about the wonderful nature, and it looks like Cameron and his team are still able to capture that beauty and put it to screen.

I don’t expect the movie to make Endgame money, but it’s definitely worth a watch in the cinema.

Set more than a decade after the events of the first film, “Avatar: The Way of Water” begins to tell the story of the Sully family (Jake, Neytiri, and their kids), the trouble that follows them, the lengths they go to keep each other safe, the battles they fight to stay alive, and the tragedies they endure.

Avatar: The Way of Water is now in theaters.
